Job Summary:

The RN Clinical Nurse Emergency Department is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. Job Summary:

The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician functions under the direction of the Manager Infusion Therapy or other designated leader. The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician demonstrates knowledge, competency, and clinical expertise in oncology infusion therapy including but not limited to hazardous drug therapies for treating malignant and nonmalignant conditions.
This RN will regularly administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics agents, hazardous drugs, and targeted therapies. RN will work in an outpatient infusion center though alternate settings could occur.
This individual is responsible for providing safe patient care with an understanding and awareness of age-appropriate and culturally aware needs. The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician addresses the patient/family biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and education needs and is responsible for delivery of patient care in complex situations. The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff, operational leadership, and medical staff.

The Cardiovascular Technologist I is a professional without Cath lab &/or interventional experience training to assist during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures. The cardiovascular technologist I may participates in the cath or EP call rotation once appropriately oriented and checked off on clinical and operational competencies.

* Less than 1 year experience in CT - Preferred

Required Minimum Skills

* Excellent communication skills due to frequent interaction with physicians, patients, visitors and staff.
* Routinely obtains, presents and discusses clinical information regarding job responsibilities.
* Able to explain or give directions to maintain goodwill and cooperation.
* Must function independently and under pressure while participating as a team member.
* Provides excellent customer service at all times.
* Able to perform effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
* Must prioritize appropriately.
* Must be detail oriented and able to multitask effectively throughout the shift.
* Must communicate professionally with various customer groups including patients, families, coworkers, volunteers and physicians.
* Must function independently while remaining a productive team member.
* Must comply with all hospital policies, protocols and professional standards.
* Competent in all aspects of CT including patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection.
* Must understand anatomy and pathology and how they affect image quality.
* Competent to perform all ACR and manufacturer-recommended quality control tests.

* ARRT Radiography - Required
* ARRT Computed Tomography - Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association - Required
