Aviation Electronics Technician

Responsibilities
As an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test complex electronic systems related to aviation on tactical jets, fixed wing aircraft or rotary winged helicopter systems. In this role, you can expect to work with systems including digital computers, fiber optics, infrared detection, radar, laser electronics, navigation, pressure indication, and electrical power generation and distribution. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Installing modifications to aircraft electronic systems
- Performing micro-miniature module repair on computer circuit cards
- Performing electrical diagnostics
- Reading electrical system diagrams
- Repairing and maintaining power generators and electric motors
- Performing scheduled maintenance and corrosion control
Work Environment
Sailors in this career field will perform duties at sea and ashore around the world. ATs can expect to work indoors and outdoors in land-based aircraft squadrons and aboard aircraft carriers. You may work in a shop environment, clean lab, airplane hangar or office environment.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes(known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training, including:
Class "A" Technical School (19 weeks) in Pensacola, FL, for training in basic aviation theory and technical knowledge, aviation electrical systems, and electrical and electronics theory and skills.
After you complete training, you may be assigned to a naval air station, squadron, aircraft carrier or other aviation facility. Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.
Advanced Training
Advanced training as an Aviation Electronics Technician may also be available during later stages of your career. For those with further leadership aspirations and a college degree, Officerroles may be available, providing opportunities to lead and train others.
Post-Service Opportunities
Specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian world, such as employment with airlines or aircraft manufacturers.
Education Opportunities
Beyond offering access to professional credentials and certifications, Navy technical and operational training as an Aviation Electronics Technician can translate to credit hours toward a bachelor's or associate degree through the American Council on Education.

Qualifications & Requirements
A high-school diploma or equivalent is required to become an Enlisted Sailor and an Aviation Electronics Technician. You must also be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.
AT applicants should have an interest in aviation, working with aircraft, electrical systems and computer systems. You should be competent working with tools, equipment and machines to perform detailed precision work. Strong arithmetic, writing, speaking and academic study skills are also necessary. Important physical attributes include a high level of manual dexterity and physical fitness.

Part-Time Opportunities
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Aviation Electronics Technicians in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, you may serve anywhere in the world, including locations in the U.S., at bases overseas, or in areas where humanitarian needs are great.

Most of what you do in the Navy Reserve is considered training. The basic Navy Reserve commitment involves training a minimum of one weekend a month (referred to as drilling) and two weeks a year (referred to as Annual Training) - or the equivalent of that.
Aviation Electronics Technicians in the Navy Reserve serve in an Enlisted role. Before receiving the ongoing professional training that comes with the job, initial training requirements must be met.
For current or former military Enlisted service members, prior experience satisfies the initial Recruit Training requirement, so you will not need to go through Boot Camp again.
For those without prior military experience, you will need to meet the initial Recruit Training requirement by attending Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL. This training course will prepare you for service in the Navy Reserve and count as your first Annual Training.

Summary:
Provides Occupational Therapy Services to patients referred, including assessment, treatment plan development and implementation with the follow-up and discharge planning. - Experience with Epic Infrastructure such as Hyperspace.
- Experience with ITSM functionalities such as change control, CMDB and ticketing systems.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), cybersecurity and clinical operations.
- Prior experience delivering high availability systems in a 24/7 environment across geographically dispersed business units.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate evaluation of technologies and achieve consensus on technical standards and solutions among a diverse group of information technology professionals.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or related field strongly desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Responsible for installation and maintenance of server infrastructure along with upgrading/configuration and the life cycle management of hardware.
- Monitors functions of server infrastructure to ensure acceptable performance.
- Creates and maintains documentation related to server configuration and environments.
- Serves as subject matter expert across server operating systems and solutions (Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, AIX, VMWare ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Troubleshoots and resolves server and virtualization incidents.
- Maintain server patching to address security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cloud compute architect to design and build functional server environments.
- Provide level 2 escalation support and troubleshooting to resolve complex server incidents and tasks.
- Stay current on cloud and systems engineering trends (e.g., serverless computing, containerization, AI-driven automation) and evaluate their potential to enhance TGC operations.
- Ensure systems, applications and data are high availability, backed up and/or replicated to meet disaster and business recovery requirements.
- Implement and enforce security requirements to protect Azure-based systems and data.
- Anticipates and provides solutions for complex problems and issues, recommends upgrades and enhancements. Rapidly absorbs complex technical and conceptual information to identify issues and implications. Able to present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Monitors industry trends, maintains knowledge of developments in cloud computing, database, storage, data protection, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, server automation, monitoring and application delivery.
- Promotes the use of TGC’s PMO methodology and standards to manage IT initiatives.
- Demonstrates commitment to customer service by providing responsive and effective support, developing solid working relationships with customers and IT colleagues, and delivering high quality, value-added services that exceed customer expectations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in Customer Service with all internal and external customers of TGC.

OdomRD Dietitian Consultants is growing, and we’re looking for a Registered Dietitian who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful clinical impact. This full-time, hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: onsite resident care with work-from-home flexibility — no nights, weekends, or holidays.
What You’ll Do
As a Regional Registered Dietitian Consultant, you will:
- Provide clinical nutrition care in skilled nursing/long-term care settings
- Oversee multiple facilities within the Abilene, Texas region
- Serve as a key member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
- Complete nutrition assessments, care plans, and EMR documentation
- Monitor residents with:
- Wounds
- Renal conditions
- Tube feeding / enteral nutrition
- Weight loss or gain concerns
- Conduct Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE)
- Participate in QA/QAPI initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy teams, and dietary staff
- Travel locally between facilities (short distances)
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) — RD Eligible considered
- Active Texas Dietitian License (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and across multiple facilities
- Long-term care experience preferred (support available)
