Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or equivalent
- Dysrhythmia recognition, pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular/pulmonary assessment, basic knowledge of exercise physiology and clinical exercise physiology preferred
- Cardiopulmonary assessment; computer skills; educational planning and teaching skills; RN should have a holistic view of patient education; experience and skills with older adults is important
- BLS certificationrequired
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license,in accordance withlaw and regulation.
- Prefer ACSM certification at the Exercise Specialist level, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist or ANA Cardiac Rehabilitation certification;
- A minimum of 1-year experience in ICU, CCU or other critical care nursing is required; a minimum of1-yearexperience in Cardiac Rehabilitation is preferred

What you will do in this role:
Coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care on a pulmonary telemetry unit. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.
- BLS required upon hire and maintained.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
