The Opportunity:

The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients in concert with their primary care providers. Through advanced technology and a team-based approach, we care for patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. What you’ll be working on:

• 
  
• Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
  
• Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
  
• Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
  
• Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually
  

Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

• 
  
• Completed an accredited PA program with a national certification 
  
• In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
  
  • 
    
  • 2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+) 
    
  
  
• Currently licensed in MD with ability to obtain additional state licenses
  
• Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every Saturday or Sunday required)
  
• Current shifts range from (6am-5pm EST, 7am-6pm EST, 8am-7pm EST, 11am-10pm EST, 1pm-12am EST)
  
• Excellent clinical and communication skills

This is a full-time virtual role. 

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The base hourly range for this role is $59.10 to $65.50per hour (plus evening and weekend differential) based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. General Summary of Position
MedStar Health is committed to providing world-class compassionate care to every patient every time at every touch point during the experience. All associates are accountable for their role in meeting patient experience standards.Performs clinical and administrative duties in the MedStar Health Settings consistent with policies & procedures. Works under the supervision of a physician and performs patient intake standing orders or protocols venipuncture laboratory testing and patient follow up. Will also administer oral IM SC or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee. Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) certified as Radiologic Technologists also perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. This position documents as appropriate in the medical record and supports optimal patient flow.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Adheres to MedStar Health Code of Conduct and its Compliance plan; complies with governmental and accreditation guidelines completing all scheduled training including but not limited to safety infection control OSHA CPR EMR general compliance harassment and service.
• Cleans stocks and sterilizes equipment in addition to cleaning and preparing patient rooms for care delivery.
• Delivers patient care consistent with policy and with high regard for patient/ employee safety and quality of care.
• Embraces new technology and use of the electronic health record.
• Manages patient flow with consistent and frequent communication with patients/ families as well genuine regard for their time and comfort.
• Performs other testing and care consistent with the scope of the MedStar Health practices including but not limited to spirometry/ PFTs patient vitals and BMI EKGs vision and hearing test splinting and general patient care under the supervision of the medical provider.
• Performs patient follow up calls for lab tests patient experience and clinical results in accordance with policy and in a professional manner.
• Performs venipuncture and selected patient and laboratory testing (point of care); initiates care pathways in accordance with policy.
• Performs x-rays in accordance with medical provider orders; forwards images to the appropriate radiologist for over-reads; maintains x-ray equipment and adheres to safety standards.
• Promotes an atmosphere of respect toward patients families vendors employers and co-workers. Acts and communicates professionally at all time.
• Provides care consistent with MedStar's mission vision and values and in a manner that engenders patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding expectations.
• Serves as a patient escort throughout the care process and assists in patient discharge assuring clarity for the patient or family member(s).

Minimal Qualifications
Education

• Associate's degree required and
• Completion of an approved R.T. program. required

Experience

• Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting; required and
• 1-2 years 2 years of medical office experience preferred
• One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

Licenses and Certifications

• ARRT ARRT Certification; required and
• Must have a Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation whichever is applicable to location of the position; required and
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Clinical competency as verified during the initial 90 day orientation period and annually thereafter.
• Excellent customer service/ patient interaction skills;
• Computer & Electronic Medical Record skills and ability to function in a variable clinical setting.
