Role: Plumbing Design Technician
Duration: Til early January, 2027
Locations: Portland, OR/ Tempe, AZ
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience
• 4+ years of Revit design experience
• 5+ years of industrial plumbing design experience, including layout and routing
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Plumbing Codes, specifically the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC).
Preferred additional qualifications:
• Experience in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, data centers or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Technical or Associate's degree in a relevant discipline
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Advanced problem solving, planning, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
• Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systems
• Develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details
• Perform design tasks across planning, concept, and detailed design
• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal disciplines
• Apply expert knowledge of plumbing systems and codes to ensure quality and accuracy
Note: occasional travel for onsite work to be expected in late 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systems
- Create P&IDs, drawings, plans, sections, and construction details
- Perform design work from concept through detailed design phases
- Apply plumbing codes (IPC/UPC) to ensure accurate, compliant designs

- Support projects in complex industrial environments when applicable
Requirements:
