Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine setting. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to pregnant women.

- Explains exam to patient and family prior to the commencement of the test to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Acquires anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data.
- Records/processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure.
- Creates a preliminary report for physician interpretation and review/signature.
- Assists physician with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies.
- Follows the accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two-dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode where applicable.
- Rotates as needed to cover Sonographer absences.
- Performs related and other assigned duties as directed.

Qualifications

Education:

- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in OB/GYN.
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
- CPR certification required.

Experience

- Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred.

Wellstar Advanced Heart Failure & Palliative Care is a hospital outpatient department of Kennestone Hospital. Our goals are to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for patients with heart failure while improving patient understanding and self-management of their disease process. Responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods to sell in Goodwill of North Georgia Retail stores. Process goods in an accelerated manner to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Always display a professional, patient, and \"people first\" attitude with guests
  • Provide a donation receipt to each guest at the time of donating
  • Adequately handle guest questions and resolve problems by following agency and departmental standard operating procedures
  • Properly sort donations into designated categories

You will be the Electrical Wiring Fabricator (Fabrication) for the team which is responsible for soldering, final bench assembling, and continuity checking aircraft electrical radio and radar assemblies.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Wiring Fabricator (Fabrication), you will be responsible for setting up and operating automated wire processing machines to number, cut, strip, lug, and otherwise process wire for use in electrical parts, assemblies, and accessories.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and wiring completely aircraft electrical, radio, and radar units such as main junction and terminal boxes, main engine disconnect plug, main control, switch panels, radio panels, and instrument panels
  • Completing hookup of wiring, flexes, and cables, and troubleshooting electrical and radio assemblies having multiple interconnected units and accessories
  • Forming and running harnesses, breaking out and terminating wiring to terminal points where wire routing and location of electrical units and accessories are established by jig board layouts
  • Making continuity checks (including necessary operation) of above assemblies and harnesses as required, and selling same to inspection
  • Fabricating completely hi-voltage radio and radar cables that require the soldering of multiple wires, shields, tubes, connectors, pins, washers, spacers, and cores
