This position will serve the neonatal intensive care units at Riley Hospital for Children, home to Indiana’s most advanced and comprehensive neonatal care. The Martha Ann (Rieth) Van Dyke NICU, a 60-bed Level IV unit located in the Simon Family Tower, provides the highest level of care for premature and critically ill newborns. Riley Children’s is consistently ranked among the top neonatology programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and ranks 6th out of 47 U.S. centers in patient complexity, according to the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium. In addition, the Riley Maternity Tower houses a 45-bed Level III NICU, a dedicated labor and delivery unit, and one of the nation’s few obstetrical intensive care units. Riley is also home to the Heart Center NICU, which includes specialized beds for cardiac intensive care newborns, along with a newly added 12-bed Progressive Care NICU. Together, these units form the largest NICU in Indiana and one of the largest in the country, offering unmatched opportunities for clinical care, teaching, and innovation in maternal and neonatal medicine.
Clinical & Academic Highlights
Serve as a primary daytime attending physician in one or more of Riley Hospital’s neonatal intensive care units, including the 60-bed Level IV NICU in the Simon Family Tower and the 45-bed Level III NICU in the Riley Maternity Tower.
Participate in the high-risk delivery service and provide consultative care for complex obstetric cases, working closely with maternal-fetal medicine specialists and the obstetrical ICU team.
Night call responsibilities are an expected component of the role and include in-house coverage during both weeknights and weekends, supporting continuity of care for critically ill newborns.
Be an active member of the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, contributing to the education of medical students, pediatric residents, neonatal fellows, and advanced practice providers (NNPs and PAs).
Candidates with experience in quality improvement initiatives or the development of clinical guidelines to reduce variation in care are highly valued.
Opportunities for academic engagement and scholarly activity are encouraged. A faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine is available and will be commensurate with experience and academic interests.

In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.

Providing daily supervision and mentorship
Managing household routines and student schedules

- The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services use state-of-the-art imaging technology while providing health care teams with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. Imaging services include: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CTScan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound services. We now offer PET-CT scans, the latest in diagnostic imaging technology and one of the most powerful imaging tools that physicians can use to help diagnose and treat patients with cancer and other diagnoses.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. If registry eligible, credential within six (6) months of hire required.
- Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required. If a new graduate, temporary license upon hire and permanent license within six (6) months of hire required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS required.
