Job Summary

The Senior Paralegal, Charitable Planning & Administration role is a dual-function position that bridges Legal and Finance to support charitable planning, gift administration, and compliance. It advances the organization's goals by ensuring legally sound, well-coordinated charitable giving and gift administration processes while maintaining clear accountability within each department. As part of the Legal team, the role supports the General Counsel and Legal Counsel with legal services related to charitable giving, contracts, compliance, and legal operations, while also providing defined operational support to Finance. The position reports directly to the General Counsel, with finance-related work performed under the functional direction of the Vice President, Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure legally sound, donor-intent–aligned charitable giving and gift administration by integrating legal oversight, compliance, and operational execution across the lifecycle of complex gifts, estates, trusts, and funds.
  • Advance organizational effectiveness and risk management by supporting high-quality legal services, contract governance, and compliance practices related to charitable planning, agreements, and foundation operations.
  • Enable accurate, timely, and compliant gift administration by overseeing critical processes for gift receipt, allocation, acknowledgement, fund setup, and specialized fund transactions in close coordination with Legal, Finance, and Philanthropy.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training.
  • Minimum five to seven years' experience in a paralegal, legal operations, trust and estate administration, charitable planning, or related role; nonprofit, finance, and/or in-house experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, including charitable gift agreements, fund agreements, estate and trust related documents, or comparable instruments.
  • Working knowledge of estate planning, trusts, charitable giving vehicles, and donor-advised funds, including donor intent and compliance considerations.

As the Senior Attorney, Beyond Guilt Project Director, you will serve as a senior attorney and project leader responsible for overseeing OJPC’s post‑conviction legal advocacy work. As the Senior Attorney, Beyond Guilt Project Director, you will:

  • Lead and oversee the Beyond Guilt Project’s post-conviction docket (approximately 20–30 client matters annually), coordinating work across attorneys, a paralegal, pro bono counsel, interns, and volunteers.
  • Personally litigate approximately 6-12 post-conviction cases each year, including judicial release motions, parole advocacy, sentence modifications, plea withdrawals, motions for new trial, and post-conviction petitions.
  • Oversee case intake, prioritization, and assignment, balancing staff capacity with strategic impact and sustainability.
  • Work collaboratively with prosecutors, community partners, and—when appropriate—crime survivors to negotiate release outcomes.
  • Guide investigations, mitigation development, and reinvestigations.
  • Collaborate with OJPC leadership and the Litigation Director to develop and execute high-impact litigation strategies.
  • Prepare clients and their supporters for court proceedings and parole hearings.
  • Partner with community organizations to support client release planning and post-release stability within the scope of representation.
  • Assist with applying for grants, tracking program data, and completing portions of grant reporting for Beyond Guilt.
  • Participate in public speaking, community education, and advocacy efforts related to criminal justice reform.
  • Collaborate with development and policy staff to advance OJPC’s decarceration and system-reform priorities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor or advanced law degree.
  • Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligibility consistent with Ohio Supreme Court rules).
  • Minimum five (5) years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience supervising attorneys, legal teams, or managing complex legal projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

The Clinical Director will directly supervise and train primary care providers (PCPs) in his/her assigned center. The incumbent in this role is accountable for maximizing overall core model execution, including improving clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction.   • Independently provides care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses encountered in older adult patients.
  • Takes full accountability for patient care and outcomes and appropriately seeks consultation from specialists when needed, though will still stay involved in, and be responsible for, the detailed care of the patient.
  • Engages with the hospitalist whenever one of their patients is in the hospital (regardless of whether the hospitalist works for ChenMed or not).

Fills in as needed for center clinical leadership needs, including monitoring daily center census as part of joint center accountability for outcomes.
  • Plays an active role in the management of their center and helps cover for other providers who may be out for various reasons. It is also expected that each Clinical Director will take an active role as needed in recruiting patients for the center and recruiting and interviewing additional providers for the company.
  • Managing, mentoring and coaching PCPs in his/her assigned center to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes, including sampling other PCP’s daily huddles within their center
  • Leadership rounding with the PCPs (reduced involvement of market clinical leader)
  • Partnering with Center Operations Director/Market General Manager to drive continued improvement of center financial performance, and helping increase center membership
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and engagement
  • This role follows a land‑and‑expand model, with approximately 70% focused on strategic account management and 30% on identifying and driving growth opportunities within existing accounts

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client success, or consultative/solution-based sales roles, preferably with large enterprise clients
  • Proven track record of managing high-value accounts and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to effectively manage and sell complex, consultative solutions that require aligning products, services, and stakeholders to meet broader customer objectives

Duties
