Our client is a precision equipment leader in analytical instruments, metrology, and test measurement equipment for a variety of manufacturing industries. (Selling to Aerospace, Government, Environmental, etc.....Our employees work every day providing product and software solutions that help customers increase manufacturing productivity and maintain capital equipment and facilities. Our product solutions include measurement products, ultrasonic testing equipment XRF/XRD analytical instruments and other related technologies.

The Successful Sales candidate will have 1-3 years of Technical Sales experience. Any type of Bachelors Degree works. Business or Engineering majors are helpful

Job Duties:

* Proactively schedule sales calls with potential customers to demonstrate the value of Products


* Manage customer relationships at all levels and departments to maximize customer spending.


* Maintain a high level of customer activity to maximize the sales pipeline and increase closing percentages.


* Create and execute focused industry and account specific sales campaigns.


* Lead the strategic and tactical selling plan for converting customers


* Use the technical specialists and market specialists in a creative way to demonstrate to customers the important solutions and support are the best choice.


* Creating and implementing a sales growth plan for the assigned territory and accounts.


* Continuously learn new sales skills product applications and territory management techniques.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


* Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent sales experience is helpful


* Must be able to travel approximately 40% of the time in the territory. Maybe 6-7 nights overnight in typical month traveling in the Iowa, Missouri and Illinois area. Most of time each month will be in Chicago, and Northern Illinois.


* Ability to understand how industrial machinery and manufacturing works to be able to solve customer application problems.

Job Title: Account Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:


  • Build comprehensive account plans for named accounts, focusing on long-term partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Drive account mining activities within existing customers to identify new service lines and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, CXOs of assigned account
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue, margin and DSO targets.
  • Understand and articulate global delivery models leveraging India and their benefits and attributes for clients
  • Own and drive end-to-end CONSULTATIVE sales for engineering and digital services in the assigned region (Embedded, Mechanical, Digital, and IT services).
  • Develop / Contribute to a go-to-market strategy to grow existing accounts and acquire new clients across Construction Equipment’s, Industrial Equipment, Heavy Machinery, Off-Highway Vehicles, Agricultural equipment, Material Handling, Energy, Oil & Gas verticals
  • Generate qualified leads, nurture opportunities, and manage the complete sales lifecycle—from prospecting to contract closure.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, marketing, and solution teams to craft client-specific value propositions and proposals.
  • Maintain a healthy and well-qualified pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, competitive intelligence, and market trends to the leadership.
  • Ensure alignment between client needs and delivery teams for successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction.


Qualifications Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 7-15 years of experience in selling technology/engineering services in North America, ideally with global delivery models.
  • Proven success in account management – preferably within engineering services.
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, digital transformation, product engineering, and IT services.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior client stakeholders (CTO, VP Engineering, CIO, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in preparing proposals and sales forecasts.
