Position Summary

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
- One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

- Building professional excellence through education, training and certification and milestone qualifications

- Serving as a key part of the Information Dominance Corps in its mission to gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of adversaries

Work Environment
Information Professionals serve in challenging roles of increasing scope and responsibility both afloat and ashore. This could include:

Training & Advancement
Those pursuing an Information Professional Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI.
Upon completion, candidates typically attend a five-week IP Basic Course of instruction in Pensacola, FL, before or during their initial assignment. IPOs must complete specific qualifications as part of their training during Fleet tours and are expected to pursue advanced education opportunities.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Qualifications & Requirements
A degree from a four-year college or university is a minimum educational requirement to become a Commissioned Officer. Candidates seeking an Information Professional Officer position must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a technical field, preferably in one of following fields: Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Operations, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, General Engineering.
All candidates must also be: U.S. citizens, willing to serve worldwide, eligible for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance and qualified for sea duty.
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're currently serving, whether you've served before or whether you've never served before.
Part-Time Opportunities
There are part-time opportunities available as an Information Professional Officer.
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Information Professional Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Information Professional Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have post procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart). Must be able to read and interpret tele and document it appropriately. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefer PCU and Stepdown experience.
Special Requests: Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: The facility may make one off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts in 6 week schedule. Nights: Fri/Sat. Holiday Requirement: May be asked to work Holidays, would not be expected to work every Holiday. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Floating Requirements: Traveler will be expected to float between Tele 3 & 7. Travelers are first to float; They can be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele unit within the hospital and at their sister facilities- Meridian & Nampa.
