Quad in Pewaukee is seeking Skilled Finishing Machine Operators responsible for the set up and operation of finishing equipment (including inserters, folders, flat cutters, dabbers, and offline mailers). Quad relies on the Finishing Operator to help ensure that all finished products meet or exceed our customers' expectations and to help in reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality. In addition, the individual selected for this role will be expected to lead by example by holding employees accountable for Quad's safety initiatives.

Responsibilities Also Include:

-Setup and operate various bindery equipment which may include cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and gluing equipment by Company policies and procedures.
-Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform routine adjustments as well as perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift
-Check order documentation, verify accuracy, and communicate order information and additional instructions to support staff to prepare for order production.
-Establish the most efficient manner to run the products through assigned machine to produce the expected quality and quantity. Make ready for production by setting up machine components to create products in line with customer specifications.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

-Previous Finishing Operator experience with inserters or folders including the ability to set up and operate bindery equipment is required
-A strong mechanical aptitude is required
-The ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 70 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement
-Receive and follow instructions and use vision to identify defects
-Perform repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation is necessary.
-Excellent communication skills, including good verbal and written comprehension is required.
-The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential.

Quad's entry-level manufacturing position includes the opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up and advance in a progressive environment. In this position you will assist in the creation of various well-known magazines/catalogs/newspaper inserts and other related products in our Press department. Part Time Manufacturing wage is $17.50 / hr.
Shift Availability: 2-3 work week schedule

* Week 1- (2) 12-hour shifts ( 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m .)
* Week 2- (3) 12-hour shifts

Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

* Remove product from the end of the printing press or finishing machine.
* Stack loose signatures off a pallet and transfer to table and then place into a collator hopper.
* Transfer completed bundles of product off machine conveyor and stack onto pallets, then place mail bags onto pallet.
* Move product with a hand jack or motorized Raymond or Big Joe lift.

In this position, you will need:



  • Make ready and operate equipment based on the written instructions provided.
  • Establish and maintain color and/or fold and mechanical quality to BPC standards.
  • Continuously monitor the product for quality and approve or reject.
  • Direct, guide, and coordinate the activities of assigned crew members to exceed production standards while maintaining customer quality.
  • Perform assigned make-ready duties.
  • Complete required general maintenance and lubrication assignments.
  • Complete required documentation, electronic and paper, for an assigned job.
  • Perform duties of other Print Service manufacturing positions as needed, following requisiteΒ training.

Required Qualifications



  • 2-3 years of previous Print Operator experience, including setup and operation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude isΒ required.
  • Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed to run the product for the highest quality in the safestΒ manner.
  • Perform basic maintenance andΒ troubleshooting.
  • Must have the ability to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of theΒ product.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identifyΒ defects.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS
  • Perform all imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws and ensure the physician on duty is notified of the results
  • Perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse on duty
  • Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations
  • Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables to perform quality testing
  • Perform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment
  • Perform Quality Control as established by this laboratory
  • Perform Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis periodically as established by this facility
  • Retain records of all analytic activities performed for a minimum of two years
  • Perform all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this position and document these activities for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or the Laboratory Director

In this role, you will provide in-store merchandising support to Retailers to meet shoppers' needs. This includes building displays and end caps, resetting shelves with product rotation, and tracking inventory to ensure that stores and suppliers maximize sales opportunities. This is a traveling position that requires regular travel as a primary requirement of the role. Travel roles may require various degrees of travel up to 50% or more of the time. * Are a motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action and results
* Work independently, but also possess successful team building skills
* Have the ability to perform job duties with a safety-first mentality in a retail environment
