This milestone marks the continuation of over 40 years of dedicated service to our community. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. We are actively seeking dynamic Clinical Coordinators to lead and empower our nursing staff (8+ direct reports) in our Neurology and Exotics & Lab Departments. These pivotal leaders will inspire growth, uphold clinical standards, and cultivate a collaborative, compassionate environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator oversees the nursing staff and manages daily operations to ensure high standards of care and staff performance. We are seeking Overnight Inpatient Technicians who are personable, self-motivated, and strong communicators with excellent organizational skills. In this role, you will assist with a variety of daily tasks while collaborating closely with all departments across the hospital.

 Position Overview:
The Inpatient Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide care for the hospitalized patients that are deemed stable according to the veterinarian’s evaluation and RBVH’s defined levels of hospitalization. This individual will assess patients and facilitate treatments under the direction of the supervising veterinarian.  They will have excellent communication with the supervising veterinarian and address concerns with the patients as they arise. The ER Inpatient Technician is expected to work with all doctors, technicians, and assistants to perform diagnostics and execute treatment plans for the hospitalized patient.

Compensation:
  • Credentialed Technicians: $27- $33/hr. based on experience
  • Non-Credentialed Technicians: $22- $27/hr. based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Nursing Skills

  • Medical math, lab skills (basic bloodwork, lab submissions), radiograph positioning, medical terminology
Technical & Administrative Skills
  • Record keeping, equipment operation, stocking and cleaning, aftercare

Professionalism

Position Overview:
The Surgery Technician supports surgeons and the related patient care of surgical cases. The surgery team is a dynamic group within an ER and Specialty Hospital that has a busy caseload of elective and emergency procedures. The Surgery Technician assists with various surgeries including soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and other advanced surgeries.

  • Administration and knowledge of analgesic and anesthetic therapy to include opiates, non-steroidal medication, and inhalation anesthesia
  • Monitor capabilities:
    • ECG

  • Administer epidurals, dosage and dispensing of drugs
  • Knowledge of fluid CRI’s
  • Management of life-threatening emergencies, especially cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological problems, to include a. advanced CPR skills (with electrical defibrillation) b. maintenance of thoracostomy tubes c. emergency tracheostomy and tube care. assisted ventilation
  • Knowledge of thoracoscopy and arthroscopy equipment and procedure
  • Basic instrument/pack preparation and knowledge of steam/gas sterilization
  • Preparation of lab samples
  • Maintain a legal record of significant events and enhance recognition of trends in monitored variables
  • Record all drugs administered to patient, noting the dose, time, and route of administration
  • Record monitored variables on a regular basis (every 5 minutes) during anesthesia
  • Computer input into a patient’s file
Equipment care
  • Inspect the anesthesia machine, endotracheal tubes, and other anesthesia equipment before and after use assuring that the anesthetic machine and equipment are in proper working order
  • Equipment troubleshooting: IV pumps, surgivet, Doppler, anesthesia machine, pulse ox
Communications
  • Excellent communication skills with coworkers and with clients
  • Plan procedures with other departments
  • Train new hires, interns and externs
Hospital maintenance
  • Make sure the hospital is ready for the next shift/day (clean/stock)
  • Complete any task listed by the supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working as a nursing team member in a surgery department or with heavy surgical responsibilities is required..
  • Prior experience with anesthesia techniques and protocols is required.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
