Client Advocacy:
- Represent students, families, and educational institutions in negotiations and litigation.
- Provide legal advice regarding the rights of students under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and related statutes.
Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategy and ensure the most current and effective legal arguments.
- Analyze and interpret federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with school districts, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to resolve disputes amicably.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure all legal actions comply with ethical standards and applicable laws.
- Stay updated on legislative changes affecting special education law.
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing.
A minimum of [3] years’ experience in litigation with a focus on special education law.
Demonstrated success in handling special education disputes, including experience with IDEA-related cases.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with clients, fiduciaries, and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the administration of estates and trusts, including: Preparing probate petitions and related court filings Collecting and organizing asset information Preparing inventories, accountings, and asset transfer documents Coordinate with financial institutions, government agencies, and beneficiaries regarding estate matters.
File documents with Surrogate’s/Probate Courts and track deadlines.
Prepare and file federal and state estate and gift tax returns (Forms 706, 709, etc.) Maintain and organize client files and case management databases.
Support attorneys in preparing for meetings, hearings, and closings.
Communicate with clients regarding document execution and administrative matters.
Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience as a trust and estate administration in a law firm.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estate administration software a plus (e.g., GEMS, Lackner, WealthCounsel, or similar).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive client matters.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
