Position Summary

The Safety Officer is responsible for supporting and enhancing safety programs for Vantage Point Solutions and its clients. This role works closely with internal teams and client leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct training, and mitigate workplace risks. The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who is comfortable working in the field, building relationships, and translating safety standards into practical, real-world solutions.


Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct safety audits, job site inspections, and risk assessments for internal operations and client sites
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and documentation
  • Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and educational materials to employees and clients
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and metrics; assist with regulatory reporting as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and client leadership to reinforce a culture of safety
  • Serve as a safety resource for questions, guidance, and best practices


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role (utilities, construction, telecom, or industrial environments preferred)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed
  • Valid driver’s license


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting electric utilities, cooperatives, or broadband/telecom operations
  • Training or facilitation experience
  • Familiarity with safety management systems and incident tracking tools

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.

Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.

When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor

vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of

this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.

Qualifications

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Minimum of 18 years of age.
