General Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) in Zepf Center?s Primary Care Department provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services within an integrated healthcare setting. The PA will conduct health assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe and monitor medications, and provide preventive and follow-up care for a diverse patient population across the lifespan. Working under a supervisory agreement with a collaborating physician, the PA delivers high-quality medical services while actively engaging in a multidisciplinary team approach to promote wellness, prevent illness, and ensure continuity of care. This position requires a proactive and compassionate provider who is dedicated to delivering integrated, whole-person care in alignment with Zepf Center?s mission and values.
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practices in accordance with Ohio laws governing Physician Assistants, maintaining a current supervisory agreement with a licensed physician as required by the Ohio Revised Code and State Medical Board of Ohio.
- Collaborates with the supervising physician for consultation and review, escalating cases as required by scope of practice or supervisory agreement.
- Conducts comprehensive medical evaluations, including physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care; monitors the effectiveness of interventions and modifies treatment as clinically appropriate.
- Prescribes, dispenses, and manages medications in accordance with Ohio PA licensure and DEA authority; monitors efficacy, side effects, and patient adherence.
- Performs approved procedures and treatments within credentialed scope of practice.
- Coordinates referrals to specialty providers, facilitates hospital admissions when clinically indicated, and provides consultation for hospitalized Zepf clients as appropriate.
- Responds promptly and effectively to clinical emergencies.
- Maintains timely, accurate, and compliant documentation of all clinical services, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, medication management, and other required primary care documentation.
- Participates actively in Zepf Center?s Medical Staff and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
- Provides patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, medication use, and health management.
- Engages in ongoing professional development and remains current with trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting PA practice in primary care.
- Adheres to all Zepf Center policies, professional ethics, and applicable state and federal regulations, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and quality care.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:
Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current, unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio.
- Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine preferred; new graduates considered.
- Experience working in an FQHC or community health setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and comfort with high-volume documentation.
