How You'll Contribute:




The installation technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc. Will also provide advice and guidance to Associate Installation Technicians as necessary.



Location: Must live in the Washington DC - VA area.



What You'll Do:





  • Perform structured cabling installation: pull, terminate, label, and dress cables per project documentation and standards.

  • Complete physical installation and wiring of AV devices (displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, control interfaces, etc.).

  • Assemble, populate, and dress equipment racks with a high degree of workmanship and adherence to design documents.

  • Solder and terminate connectors according to project specifications and accepted industry practices.

  • Execute light physical construction tasks as required (e.g., blocking, mounting surfaces, hardware installation).

  • Follow Diversified's installation procedures, quality guidelines, and safety protocols with minimal deviation.

  • Maintain accurate daily records: timesheets, daily field reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.

  • Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Lead Technicians to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Represent Diversified professionally on active job sites, including client and construction environments.

  • Actively participate in ongoing training and skill development toward advancing technical proficiency.




Complexity:




This level of technician will be responsible for performing tasks on clients job sites with little supervision. On smaller projects this position may be responsible for the coordination with clients, contractors and subcontractors.




Decision Making Authority:




This position is often alone on the job sites and requires making good judgement about decisions that need to be made. In general the project manager and a site supervisor are available to answer questions. This position requires good diplomacy in working with our clients and other key stakeholders on the job sites.

Physical Demands:




The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 60% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 40 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.




Travel:




Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2 hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times. 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.

Primary Purpose

The Global Project Manager (GPM) is critical to the successful conduct of Biopharmaceutical -sponsored clinical trials as a matrix leader of the core project team. The GPM is responsible for the successful delivery of a Biopharmaceutical project(s). The GPM will be client-facing and serve as the internal lead of the project through the life cycle of the study, ensuring effective project delivery in agreement with contracted project timeline and budget. The GPM directs project delivery by driving team and financial efficiency, work product quality, and is responsible for client satisfaction through relationship management.


Responsibilities

  • May serve as a primary lead for project bids and multi trial initiatives.
  • Ensures that deliverables for assigned project(s) are completed according to the contract budget, schedule, and quality standards. Effectively manages projects in all areas of performance.
  • Develops effective working relationships with clients, executive management, and project staff. Collaborates with stakeholders to manage project issues, proactively identify and mitigate risks and drive milestone achievement.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for biopharma clients. Demonstrates proficiency in knowledge and understanding of client needs.
  • Tracks project deliverables against contract using Emmes' tools. Proactively prepares/presents study metrics to maintain transparency for internal/external stakeholders. Monitors trends and drives changes to the plan as needed; identifies risks to delivery and collaborates with the project team to develop mitigation plans to be presented to the client.
  • Ensures adherence to quality control expectations and milestone timelines for delivery of contractually required reports and deliverables.
  • Manages project resources (i.e., budget, personnel, and subcontracts).
  • Identifies and manages change to scope and requests for out-of-scope activities. Collaborates with Business Development, the Contracts Team, and executive management to ensure timely execution of contract amendments/change orders. Prospectively manages client expectations.
  • May present in bid defense meetings in collaboration with Business Development.
  • Develops study management plans in collaboration with core project team members.
  • Identifies and documents lessons learned from study successes and challenges to promote development of best practices.
  • Models and propagates Emmes' commitment to a culture of quality in all aspects of our deliverables, utilizing a solution-based, science-driven, value-added approach in collaborating with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years demonstrating scientific principles appropriate in managing a clinical research portfolio including multi-phase research experience in a broad range of indications and client types.
  • At least 3 years working in a pharmaceutical and/or CRO setting, serving in a global Trial Team Lead or Global Project Management role or equivalent position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Ophthalmology clinical trials, 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable track-record of success delivering complex/ high priority clinical trials within agreed time, quality and cost working across multiple therapeutic areas, phases 1-4, in a global capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and fostering client and internal relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of ICH GCP and applicable global regulatory regulations and
    guidelines.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite of products and working knowledge of Clinical Trial Management Systems, electronic Trial Master File, and electronic Data Capture systems and solutions.
  • Successful record in managing diverse staff and leading strong teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

How You'll Contribute:



This full-time (40hr./wk.) position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of equipment and materials as needed between Diversified warehouses and client job sites. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. This position is accountable for the warehouse's inventory accuracy, organization, and control of incoming shipments, as well as the timely, properly documented execution of outgoing shipments, including RMAs. What You'll Do:





  • This position is required to deliver products and materials to job sites and between buildings.

  • Ensure that outbound shipping requests are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with project specifications, as well as Diversified
    shipping and inventory control procedures. Confirm all documentation and data entry is complete and accurate before releasing the shipment.

  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse facility: breakdown boxes and control waste; store shipping pallets and other warehouse materials and equipment; follow procedures and inventory control processes; comply with safety policies.

  • Unload and receive deliveries: process receipt and/or electronically log all incoming packages, based on disposition. Qualify equipment/materials and store according to warehouse layout and project specifications.

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies utilizing RF/ Scan Gun

  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

  • Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

  • Weigh, and label outbound shipments, including small package and freight shipments. Recommend cost-effective shipping procedures to staff
    members. Call for couriers in response to staff requests and notify appropriate project teams when incoming courier correspondence is received.

Position Overview
The Senior Preconstruction Estimator will lead pursuits, initiate conversations with owners, act as the main point of contact with proposed clients and manage the Estimating group in certain functions. The Sr. Preconstruction Estimator will have daily involvement in the preconstruction phase of various projects by sourcing and reviewing potential opportunities, preparing budgetary estimates/schedules, and formulating work plans based on conceptual or schematic designs through construction documents. The Sr. Preconstruction Estimator will be involved with both public and private clients.
Assigned Responsibilities
Client Development
  • Promote the growth and development of Client and Designer relationships.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with Client and Architect and/or Engineer contacts to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Attend Client initiated meetings throughout the preconstruction phase of the project.
  • Meet with owners, architects, and other industry related professionals to network and promote the interests of F.H. Paschen.
  • Monitor and review potential opportunities via various solicitation websites.
Preconstruction
  • Prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual estimates and detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction) including quantity take-offs.
  • Review documents and provide input regarding general conditions, project phasing and site logistics.
  • Create subcontractor/material supplier bid lists. Solicit subcontractor input when necessary.
  • Prepare bid packages, obtain bids from subcontractors and material vendors, and analyze bids from subcontractors and material vendors.
  • Participate in preconstruction presentations with the Owner (i.e., Design Development estimates or Guaranteed Maximum Price (“GMP”) booklets, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Consultants to identify, track and implement value engineering opportunities to proactively guide the design to optimize cost.
  • Have a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems square foot costs and total building square foot costs.
  • Research, compile and maintain historical data base for use in future preliminary budgets and pricing
  • Identify and qualify new material suppliers and subcontractors and place into subcontractor database.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
  • Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Prepare instruction to bidders and other bid solicitation information as required
Construction Planning
  • Participate with the preconstruction team during the strategy meetings on the approach to the project or estimate.
  • Assist in the preparation of preliminary construction schedules and work plans.
  • Attend design meetings with Owner, Architect, Engineers, and Consultants
  • Participate in the project hand-off meeting between the project Operations team and the preconstruction team.
  • Visit on-going projects to verify status of estimate versus project status, meet with the project operations team, view work in place for experience and comparison to the estimate.
Work Hour Options
  • General work hours are 7:30am - 5pm and 5-day work weeks are standard. Note that work hours and workdays may vary (changes, additions, etc.) based on critical work activities and/or required safety supervision.
Requirements
  • Over ten (10) years, experience with preconstruction and estimating preferred.
  • Civil and Structural experience in preconstruction and estimating strongly preferred.
  • Preferred four (4) year degree in construction or civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office to include Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge of estimating, scheduling and quantity take-off software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
Licensure/Certifications
  • OSHA certification preferred.

The Role:

The primary responsibility of the Preconstruction Manager is to intake and steer construction opportunities through the RFP stage of estimating and preconstruction, all the way through a successful buyout and purchasing phase, before turning the project over to Operations.
