Commercial Lines Account Manager
Position Summary:
The primary function of this role is to provide professional service to new and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner, supporting account retention, facilitating policy servicing and documentation, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication and Policy Servicing
- Communicates with customers on all facets of their account service needs including policies, endorsements, audits, proofs of coverage, and cancellations.
- Processes new and renewal summaries and proposals.
- Supports all efforts of account retention and growth of existing book of business.
- Assists with account rounding and offers new coverage.
- Handles claims in the absence of the agency claims coordinator or in response to a catastrophic event.
Policy Administration and Accuracy
- Renews and markets policies to carriers.
- Verifies that all policies are bound with insurance companies in writing prior to or on the effective date of the policy.
- Invoices all renewal policies and collects down payments or premium payments, including creating premium finance agreements when applicable.
- Checks new business and renewal policies against applications and binders.
- Ensures endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates, and other customer requests are handled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keeps client and policy information in the agency management system updated according to procedures.
- Contacts insureds as needed for collecting outstanding balances according to procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Texas General Lines Property and Casualty License required
- Previous experience in a Commercial Lines Account Management role that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
- Experience using Vertafore products, including AMS360 and ImageRight; will consider other agency management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of E&S markets (Excess & Surplus lines) preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude, including positive working relationships with clients and agency personnel
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to travel locally on occasion

Medical Center is a designated Lead Level 3 Trauma Center for the region, has a nationally-recognized Intensive Care Unit, provides critical care to newborns as young as 28 weeks, performs state-of-the-art diagnostics in the radiology department, and provides complete testing and surgical capabilities for the cardiology patient among many more services.
It serves a direct population of 100K and a 25 county catch area, totaling over 250k population pull.
The area offers low crime, great schools, and is roughly 3 hours from Austin & San Antonio and just 4 hours from Dallas.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a member of the mental health care team that provides specialized health care for selected groups of patients in the Adult Detention Center.
Participates as a part of a multidisciplinary team that includes medical and mental health.
Actively supports and adheres to the University Health policies and procedures.
Ensures efficient, appropriate and adequate mental health care is administered to incarcerated individuals in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.
Supports and adheres to University Health (UH) and Detention Health Care Services (DHCS) – policies and procedures.
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with UH mission, vision, and values.
Promotes excellent internal and external customer relations.
EDUCATION A Registered Professional Nurse who is prepared for advanced nursing practice by virtue of knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners.
A Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
Three years of nursing experience is required and two years of advanced practice is preferred.
Certification by a national nursing body is recommended.
LICENSURE Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Prescriptive authority is required.

Counsels and assists patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties which predispose illness or hinder the patient from receiving maximum benefits from medical care.
Acts as a therapeutic agent as a member of multi-disciplinary health and mental health teams.
Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required.
One year's post master's degree experience in a health care setting is preferred.
Current state licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is required.

Recommend strategies for implementing new systems.
Provide input into development and modification of HR department workflows and systems.
Support end users throughout the enterprise for HR systems including HRIS, LMS, ATS, Time & Attendance, and Document Management.
Maintain daily operations and monitor all HR systems to ensure processes are functioning properly and timely.
Collaborate with HR Systems team, IT, and Campus HRIT to support and leverage HR system solutions.
Design and deliver reporting solutions, including system interfaces, ad hoc reporting, scheduled reports, and dashboards.
Work closely with end users and SMEs to ensure data integrity and optimization within the LMS.
Manage projects, system integrations, and upgrades.
Assist with running reports, creating/maintaining spreadsheets to measure department metrics, and creating PowerPoint presentations for training.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
5 years experience in Human Resources, HRIS, or an equivalent field can substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
Required Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, HRMS, and LMS Systems.
Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of communicating with all levels.
Critical thinking, analytical, and creative skills.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Workday, Health Stream, Cornerstone, Kronos, or Document Management Systems.
Experience in a hospital setting.
HR Certification preferred.
