The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, to include but not limited to screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation in a variety of settings. The Physical Therapist participates as requested in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Primary Duties:
Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporates patient and family in the goals setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment. Consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
Completes appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately and timely documents and charges for patient care activities considering our evolving health care environment, painting a clear picture of the patient's course of care including focused initial evaluation/plan of care that establishes baseline and goals, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Manage an accurate schedule. Demonstrates a professional commitment to provide frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy in our patient consumer driven environment.
Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students. Assists with orientation and mentoring of inexperienced staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).
American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification.

Primary Duties:
Provides direct PT evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, setting appropriate goals and making appropriate discharge recommendations in accordance with standards of practice. Provides direct PT treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plan and implementation of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Utilizes appropriate documentation forms and abides by PM&R’s documentation standards. Collaborates with physicians, patients, family, and other members of the health care team relative to patient treatment and progress and other affiliated agencies. Actively participates in meetings, in-services, and rounds regarding patient care and/or departmental items.
Supervises PTAs and rehabilitation technicians. Coordinates and prioritizes own schedule in relation to demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities.
Participates in program development as assigned by PT Clinical Leader. Participates in at least 10 contact hours of continuing education programs or other opportunities for learning for continued professional competency. Provides at least one yearly in-service to staff and/or community for continuing education purposes.
Adheres to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations regarding the physical environment and patient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
Physical Therapist Current D.C (District of Columbia) license or qualified candidate for D.C. license as a Physical Therapist.
D.C. License, be eligible for a reciprocity license, or apply to sit for the board examination.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties in the MedStar Health Settings consistent with policies & procedures. Works under the supervision of a physician and performs patient intake, standing orders or protocols, venipuncture, laboratory testing and patient follow up. Will also administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider, after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee. Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) certified as Radiologic Technologists also perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. This position documents as appropriate in the medical record and supports optimal patient flow.

Primary Duties:
Adheres to MedStar Health Code of Conduct and its Compliance plan; complies with governmental and accreditation guidelines, completing all scheduled training including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation), EMR (Electronic Medical Record), general compliance, harassment, and service. Cleans, stocks, and sterilizes equipment in addition to cleaning and preparing patient rooms for care delivery. Performs patient follow up calls for lab tests, patient experience, and clinical results in accordance with policy and in a professional manner.
Performs venipuncture and selected patient and laboratory testing (point of care); initiates care pathways in accordance with policy. Performs x-rays in accordance with medical provider orders; forwards images to the appropriate radiologist for overreads; maintains x-ray equipment and adheres to safety standards. Promotes an atmosphere of respect toward patients, families, vendors, employers, and co-workers. Communicates professionally.
Provides care consistent with MedStar's mission, vision, and values and in a manner that engenders patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding expectations. Serves as a patient escort throughout the care process and assists in patient discharge, assuring clarity for the patient or family member(s). Supports new clinical and service initiatives; seeks opportunities to improve care and the patient experience.
Supports other members of the team during downtime or bottlenecks in patient processing. Understands and participates in basic computer and patient intake skills at the front desk. Supports the medical provider in patient examination, testing and education. Under medical provider supervision, prepares and administers oral medications and injections limited to intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee.
Qualifications:
Associate degree.
Completion of an approved R.T. program.
Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
2 years of medical office experience preferred.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
BLS (Basic Life Support).
