The Radiology RN is responsible and accountable for the care of patients in the Radiology Department during interventional and diagnostic procedures.  In addition, the RN will collaborate with the Radiologists, ordering physicians, and staff Nurses to determine the most appropriate care of the patient.  The Radiology RN performs patient care duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinate the delivery of care provided by other health care team members. The Radiology RN will be responsible and accountable for the universal protocol/time out process in radiology procedures, when applicable.  The Radiology RN is also responsible for mentoring Radiology Technologists in IV starts for contrast injections.  The Radiology RN is responsible and accountable for providing placement of PICC’s and midline catheters within the inpatient and outpatient hospital setting.  In addition, the RN will collaborate with nursing and medical staff to determine the most appropriate candidates for PICC, midline insertions, and ultrasound PIV.  The Radiology RN will provide support to the Radiology Department in regards to patient assessment, IV lines, oxygen care, crash cart review/sign-off, and restraints.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT) for acute inpatients, in accordance with MD orders, hospital policy, and CMS guidelines. Dialysis Registered Nurse will monitor patients during dialysis, assess any emergent changes in condition and communicate with the patient, primary RN, and MD. RN will supervise dialysis technicians and delegate appropriately. In addition, RN will collaborate with the nursing and medical staff to determine the patient’s clinical status and priority for dialysis treatment.

• BLS from American Heart Association 
• ACLS from American Heart Association 
• Completion of EKG course or EKG test upon hire 
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment 
• Chemo Certification within 1 year of employment 
• Prior Med/Surg-Telemetry experience preferred. 

Responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on policies and procedures.  Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

Provides direct nursing care including: assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients.  Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.
