Gastroenterology in Southern New York An established practice just an hour and a half north of NYC is seeking a full time gastroenterologist to join 2 others with a growing wait list for patients.

This position includes outpatient and inpatient care.

There is an in-office procedure suite for endoscopies and colonoscopies.

ERCP and EUS are a plus, but not required.

Position: Senior Staff Attorney (Insurance Defense)

Location: Remote (Court appearances in Queens, Nassau & Suffolk Counties, NY)

Employment Type: 3 months Contract

Compensation: $120–$150/hour

Description:

A leading insurance organization is seeking a Senior Staff Attorney with strong litigation expertise to manage complex insurance defense matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who can independently handle cases from inception through trial, particularly in premises liability and auto liability matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage high-exposure litigation cases involving premises and automobile liability
• Develop and execute defense strategies with minimal supervision
• Draft and review:
• Pleadings
• Motions & briefs
• Discovery responses
• Conduct:
• Depositions
• Legal research
• Motion arguments
• Represent clients in court proceedings across Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties
• Communicate effectively with:

Required Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active New York Bar license (in good standing)
• Minimum 10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong experience in:
• Premises liability
• Auto liability (commercial & personal)
• Ability to handle cases independently (A–Z)
• Excellent:
• Legal writing
• Research
• Organizational skills
• Familiarity with NY courts (Queens, Nassau, Suffolk preferred)
• Strong communication and tech proficiency (AI tools exposure is a plus)

Preferred :

• Admission to Federal Courts
• Experience handling high-value / complex litigation matters
