Insures that all charge information is accurate.
Verifies patient identification in accordance with UNC policy, insures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.

The Respiratory Therapist II administers competent care of patients through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, respiratory care procedures and treatments designed to assess, prevent, stabilize or remedy patients respiratory dysfunction.

Summary: Responsible for the independent operation of diagnostic medical equipment to expose complex diagnostic conditions, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations for a variety of ob/gyn scanning procedures (fetal echo, fetal anomalies, high risk obsetrics).

Assists the Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician in performing invasive diagnostic procedures.
Provides support in the standardization and training of physician learners during invasive procedures and other diagnostic imaging examinations.

Consults with the patient and assesses for potential contraindications—such as medication use, insufficient preparation, or the patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure.
3.
Performs the ultrasound procedure under general or direct supervision, as defined by the procedure and/or physician.
Performs essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, such as; detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, fetal wellbeing (to include biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid assessments), needle procedure guidance, examinations of maternal pelvic anatomy (including transvaginal cervical assessment) and advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques.

Conducts comprehensive diagnostic sonograms and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist.
5.
Assists the supervising physician with invasive procedures as needed.
Continuously evaluates sonographic findings throughout the examination to ensure a thorough and comprehensive study, providing the physician with complete and clinically relevant diagnostic information.
6.
Recognizes situations or abnormalities that require the direct observation of the real-time imaging by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist.
7.
Utilizes pulse-wave and color/power Doppler to obtain vascular and spectral Doppler waveforms for interpretation by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist 8.
Advises Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists and/or referring OB provider, if directed, of examination findings, including a preliminary report of findings observed during a diagnostic sonographic evaluation.

Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging

Duke University Health System seeks to hire an experienced or new graduate Radiologic Technologist who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. The Duke Raleigh Hospital (DRAH) campus provides a patient-friendly setting no matter where you visit us -- in our hospitals North Pavilion, South Pavilion, or clinics. Duke Raleigh also maintains laboratory and imaging services, a pain clinic, 24/7 emergency care, community outreach, and education programs. In this role, you would be working with our Operating Room, Emergency, and Gastrointestinal departments where we have a total of 15 C-Arms, 2 Fluoroscopy rooms, and 2 portables.
What you will do:
- Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
- Position patients for each anatomical view using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary.
- Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures.
- Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
- Charge radiographic procedures in; able to modify orders per protocol. Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation.
- Understands and uses the Image Archival System
- Provide education and training to DRAH affiliated radiology technology programs.
- Provide orientation to new technologists.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein

*This role will be based out of our various retail locations throughout North Carolina along with one day per week working from home supporting centralized services.*
Responsible for ensuring the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures. Works effectively in a hybrid work environment (such as Pharmacy store, Call Center, Micro-Fulfillment, and/or remote) and provides pharmacy consulting services with empathy to patients regarding the effective usage of medications and awareness of drug interactions leveraging omni-channel services (e.g., in person consultation and via the phone). Offers preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services. Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy management in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management and enhance the patient experience.
- Performs pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications.
- Enhances patient experience by focusing on healthcare services (e.g., patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews) and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as immunizations, disease state management and specialty programs. Listens to patients concerns and issues, acts as a sounding board for pharmacy concerns and provides feedback to operations leaders. Resolves customer queries and issues in a timely manner to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Conducts centralized support, including patient registration, exception resolution, and assists with resolving patient issues. Performs in-person or virtual product/prescription reviews, within guidelines.
- Provides expertise, resources, education and support to broader team. Supports staff training and development opportunities. Promotes teamwork and motivates staff by fostering a shared vision;

- Partners with leadership team in analyzing performance (KPIs), financial and customer service data; Implements procedures for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management.
- Ensures the pharmacy adheres to regulations, company policies and standards. Collaborates with leaders to establish workflow procedures (e.g., assigning roles, coordinating activities and soliciting employee suggestions). Oversees pharmacy opening, closing and shift change.
- Maintains and develops relationships with medical providers and other health professionals.
- Ensures pharmacy staff follows up with medical providers' to clarify prescriptions, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies, to suggest alternative medications and answer questions.
- Maintains current knowledge of pharmacy systems technology (e.g., workflows, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and POS registers).
- Processes insurance claims. Liaises with insurance companies, medical providers and auditors.
- Develops and maintains relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Participates in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business and enhance growth opportunities. Participates in community events that reflect the unique communities we serve as requested by leadership team.

Basic Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.

CT Technologist - Inpatient & Emergency

This position will primarly serve our inpatient populations with a focus in the Emergency Department with a small mixture of outpatients.
What you will do:
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
- Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary.
- Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards.
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
- Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Film/transmit to Image Archival System.
- Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions.
- Charge procedures and supplies in EHR.
- Dispense and or order oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
