The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Health is seeking a full-time Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialist with expertise in fetal therapy to join our dynamic faculty at our Manhattan campuses. Building on the success of our Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Program, we have recruited a renowned fetal surgeon, and expanded our program into the NYU Langone Health Advanced Fetal Care Center (AFCC). This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a MFM physician leader to play a central role in the continued growth and development of our comprehensive fetal surgery program as we bring fetal surgery to New York City. The successful candidate will hold an appointment in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and serve as Co-Director of the AFCC in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in pediatric surgery, cardiology, neonatology, radiology, and genetics. The position will include approximately 50% Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinical care and 50% fetal therapy and program development, with the proportion of fetal therapy effort expected to increase in parallel with the growth of interventional procedures, research infrastructure, and training programs. The AFCC Co-Director will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to:
  • Lead and expand the clinical and procedural portfolio of fetal therapy services, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex fetal diagnoses.

  • Develop and refine clinical pathways and best practices in fetal intervention, multidisciplinary coordination, and perinatal management.

  • Drive outreach and program development initiatives to expand the AFCC’s regional referral network and strengthen collaborations across specialties and institutions.

  • Engage in clinical and translational research, quality improvement, and outcomes assessment to advance the science and practice of fetal therapy.

  • Lead educational initiatives for fellows, residents, and students in fetal therapy and maternal-fetal medicine.

  • Provide Maternal-Fetal Medicine care, including ultrasound, outpatient consultation, and inpatient service, integrated within the broader MFM division.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a part time BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join the growing Department of Pediatrics at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is a member of New York City’s H+H (Health + Hospitals) public hospital system and is located in the most ethnically diverse community in New York, with immigrants from 112 different countries. The Department of Pediatrics, is one of the largest in the organization, made up of inpatient pediatrics, a Level III NICU and large mother baby unit with >2500 deliveries a year, a pediatric emergency room and a busy ambulatory service. In 2019, our Ambulatory Pediatric Clinic had more than 41,500 visits and served 15,646 unique patients. The Pediatric Department has more than 40 attendings and supports a Mount Sinai GME affiliated residency program with 41 pediatric residents. Currently the Pediatrics ID clinic meets twice a week and sees a variety of neonatal and pediatric infectious conditions that require outpatient follow-up. This position will cover outpatient clinics as well as inpatient and Pediatric ED consults.

Responsibilities include: caring for infants and children with HIV/AIDS exposure or disease with a dedicated established HIV team, collaborating with the Children and Adolescent Protection Clinic, consultations from residents and general pediatricians and would afford the candidate opportunities for teaching as part of a medium-sized ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program. Evening, night and weekend phone coverage is shared with Mount Sinai Division of Pediatric ID.

Background:

The Interventional Vascular Medicine Fellowship Program at Mount Sinai Hospital is one of the busiest programs on the East coast, which provides state of the art comprehensive care to patients with peripheral vascular disease – both arterial and venous. We perform >2000 arterial and venous procedures on a yearly basis. In addition, we are actively involved in research and are at the forefront of multiple national and international PAD trials. The program provides fellows in the Vascular Diagnostic and Intervention program with integrated training in the diagnosis, care, and percutaneous treatment of patients with vascular disease with a particular focus on peripheral vascular disease and the performance of peripheral vascular procedures. The fellows work in close association with world-renowned team of Department of Vascular Medicine and Department of Vascular Surgery to gain comprehensive training in the field of vascular and endovascular medicine. At the end of the fellowship, the fellow is Board eligible for Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine.

Curriculum:

We offer the opportunity for fellows to gain knowledge and procedural expertise in the evaluation and management of patients with a wide variety of vascular diseases including:

  • Acute and chronic arterial occlusion of the lower extremities

  • Acute and chronic limb ischemia

  • Atherosclerotic renal artery disease

  • Atherosclerotic disease of the brachiocephalic vessels including the carotid artery

Role responsibilities

What you’ll do as a Breast Imager:

  • Provide accurate assessments of breast conditions, including identifying and characterizing breast masses, calcifications, and other abnormalities.
  • Perform and interpret mammograms, ultrasound scans, and other breast imaging modalities to detect and diagnose breast abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with breast surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with breast cancer or other breast-related conditions.
  • Conduct image-guided breast procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations, to obtain tissues samples for further evaluation and diagnosis.

Qualifications:

Qualifications you’ll need:

  • Graduated from an accredited Medical School
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist
  • An active New York Medical License

You'll lead an accomplished team of 18 board-certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians , managing a broad spectrum of services across two hospitals:

  • 12-bed MICUs at both sites, plus 8-bed step-down unit.
  • Active ECMO Program (V-A & V-V).
  • Advanced Bronchoscopy Suite featuring the Ion Robot.
  • Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Biopsy Program.
  • Cutting-edge Lung Cancer Screening Program, tightly integrated with Thoracic Surgery, Oncology, Pathology, and Radiology.
  • Dedicated Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT) Clinics.
  • Vibrant Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Program.
  • Modern Outpatient Procedure Area fully staffed and supported.
  • Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care services at both campuses.
  • Oversee faculty development, recruitment, and retention.
  • Promote excellence in clinical outcomes, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety.
  • Drive educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and uphold the organization’s ICARE values: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
  • Lead Team Based Care in both the Jacobi and North Central Bronx Medical Intensive Care Units.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $342,000* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $416,200**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
