Ally Waste is hiring for the exciting Bulk Tech position which is a fundamental role to deliver our waste support services to the apartment communities we serve. The Bulk Tech role consists of loading furniture and other bulky items to a truck and trailer and hauling it to the landfill. Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Using a company truck (and possibly trailer), drive to up to 20 properties daily on assigned route
  • Check in, take photos, and document bulky items/furniture at each property using our proprietary app
  • Load heavy items to the truck using stacking techniques
  • Haul items to the assigned landfill
  • Empty items from the trailer or truck (depending on equipment used)
  • Work quickly and efficiently to complete pickups in a timely manner
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs at a time
  • Must be able to get in and out of truck hundreds dozens of times throughout the shift
  • Must be able to work quickly
  • Must be willing to get dirty; can not be afraid of the smells at a landfill

A Day in the Life of a Pickup/Delivery Laborer

Inventory, pack, remove and transport electronic items and consumer appliances from homes or business

Deliver and reinstall electronic items and consumer appliances within insured home or business

Assist co-workers with completion of job-related tasks when needed

What We Are Looking For In You

Excellent customer service skills; provide "white glove" service for our clients

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds during pick-up and delivery activities

Comfortable working on-site in post-peril (fire, floods, etc.) environment
