Title: Customs Entry Writer

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage customs brokerage operations for assigned accounts to ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported shipments.
• Process customs entries and government agency documentation to facilitate compliant import clearance.
• Open, manage, and maintain shipment entry files in accordance with operational timelines and service standards.
• Coordinate shipment clearance and transportation with freight forwarders, carriers, airlines, ocean terminals, and internal teams.
• Track and monitor inbound shipments, providing updates and resolving issues affecting shipment flow.
• Review import documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government agency requirements.
• Maintain and update customer standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to client-specific processes.
• Prepare and process customer billing and shipment reports accurately and within required timelines.
• Coordinate final delivery logistics from ports, airports, or container freight stations to consignee locations.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
• Basic understanding of customs documentation, import processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address shipment or documentation issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Customs House Broker (CHB) license preferred but not required.

The staff counsel office of Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey located in Parsippany, Woodbridge, or Mt Laurel NJ seeks a full-time attorney with an insurance defense background to handle New Jersey No Fault PIP litigation.

The senior attorney would be responsible for handling New Jersey PIP cases filed in Forthright. The position would require the Attorney to conduct Examinations Under Oath and attend arbitrations. The candidate must be organized, a team player, and able to handle a high volume of files and virtual appearances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle all aspects of a high volume pending of 250 or more cases.
• Conduct Examinations Under Oath.
• Attend arbitrations.
• Prepare PIP arbitration submissions and upload same to Forthright.
• Input and maintain information into case management system and ensure data integrity.
• Provides legal research, legal advice and direction to Claims.
• Handle special projects as the need arises.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fully licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
• New York Bar admission is a plus but not required.
• Possesses at five years’ relevant PIP experience.
• Possesses an ability to analyze arbitration assignments referred from Claims and prepare action plans that address legal issues and defenses.
• Possesses excellent knowledge of NJ No Fault Arbitration rules.
• Possesses an aptitude to work independently in making decisions, in file handling and communicating those decisions to the proper parties.
• Must be able to work in a paperless environment.
• Possesses strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.

SALARY RANGE

The pay range for this position is $115,000 to $162,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Responsibilities

·        Review and analyze title reports, surveys, zoning materials, and environmental reports; identify and help resolve issues

·        Prepare and review closing documents, closing checklists, and post-closing deliverables

·        Assist with commercial leasing matters for landlords and tenants, including lease abstracts and summaries

·        Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel

·        Conduct legal research related to real estate, land use, and transactional matters

·        Maintain organized transaction files and ensure compliance with firm procedures and deadlines

·        Support senior attorneys and partners on complex transactions and special projects as needed

·        Communicate clearly and professionally with clients under supervision, including providing status updates

Requirements

• At least 3-6 years of commercial real estate experience working with sophisticated clients on large scale transactions
• Commercial finance experience, closing and negotiating complex loans on behalf of borrowers and/or lenders
• Structuring and negotiating joint ventures and handling acquisitions and dispositions
• Excellent writing and time management skills
• A J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and bar admission in the jurisdiction of resident office location or where the work is performed
