Cahill 4 is an inpatient adult behavioral health unit of which we see various types of psychiatric illnesses such as bi-polar, personality disorders, dual diagnosis, adjustment disorder, and psychosis. According to DMH we have a lower than average restraint rate, and use a sensory approach to de-escalate patients as well as DBT/CBT group therapy. All staff are educated in trauma-informed care, which provides each patient a plan of care that is based on their individual needs. Patients are cared for by a dynamic interdisciplinary psychiatry team of nurses, milieu counselors, providers and social workers.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Massachusetts RN license required
American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required
BSN or ASN degree required
1-2 years acute inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
In addition, newly hired candidates are required to successfully complete a job specific physical test

Under the general supervision of the Director of Care Management, the RN Case Manager provides clinically-based case management to support the delivery of effective and efficient patient care consistent with the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Conditions of Participation. The RN Case Manager will collaborate with other members of the health care team to identify appropriate utilization of resources and to ensure reimbursement. Utilize criteria to confirm medical necessity for admission and continued stay. Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client’s developmental status.
- Provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child’s development.
- Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate
- Provides individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
- Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
- Act as service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family on caseload, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed.
- Provides supportive professional assistance to families.
- Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child's development; assist families to act as advocates for their child.
Position Requirements:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions
- Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Good computer skills as well as strong documentation skills.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish and or Portuguese) a plus.
