Responsibilities:
β’ Patrol all areas of the park on foot to ensure safety and security.
β’ Respond promptly to security and medical incidents across the property.
β’ Interact positively and professionally with guests and team members, providing assistance as needed.
β’ Enforce park policies as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws.
β’ Secure and unsecure gates, buildings, and restricted areas as directed.
β’ Transport medical patients safely and efficiently when required.
β’ Write clear, detailed, and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken.
β’ May assist with guest screening at entry points using metal detectors and other screening tools.
β’ Maintain grooming and appearance standards in accordance with Park and Security Department policies.
β’ Represent the park professionally with a courteous and approachable demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
β’ Must be at least 21 years of age.
β’ High school diploma or GED required.
β’ Must be able to obtain and maintain a St. Louis Metropolitan Security License and any other required certifications.
β’ Previous security-related experience preferred.
β’ Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation to and from the park.
β’ Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in outdoor weather conditions.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills; outgoing and guest-focused.
β’ Comfortable using radios, phones, and basic computer systems.
β’ Safety-conscious, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
