Duties

During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:

  • Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
  • Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
  • Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
  • Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
  • Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
  • Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
  • Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

3 Event Planning & Support Assist with The Arc Rocklandโ€™s events, including but not limited to the signature annual events โ€“ the Harold Peterson Memorial Golf Classic, A Taste of Rockland, and Step Up for The Arc Rockland. ยท Help with outreach to attendees, sponsors, and vendors. ยท Input all relevant data, including registrations, donations, and sponsorships into Raiserโ€™s Edge and generate status reports. ยท Coordinate with event partners and associates, including vendors, venues, committee members, and volunteers. ยท Assist with solicitation and coordination of auction items and in-kind donations. ยท Process and acknowledge all donations and other categories of support of the events through customized thank you letters and targeted emails through Raiserโ€™s Edge. ยท Contribute to post-event analysis, documenting successes and lessons learned for future reference.

4 Purchase Orders & Requisition Processing ยท Process department purchase orders and requisitions; maintain accurate documentation. ยท Coordinate with colleagues to ensure proper approval workflows and budget tracking. ยท Communicate with vendors and finance team as needed. ยท Organize financial records for reporting and auditing purposes

Sr. Sales Executive Job Description:

What Youโ€™ll Do: As a Sr. Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and growing new customer accounts in the legal community within an assigned territory. Each territory consists of a large base of small-mid law firms. You will utilize your prospecting and consultative selling skills, high energy, and initiative to identify opportunities to provide FindLaw web-based marketing and advertising solutions. You will also be responsible to partner with our internal Account Management team related to the post-sales satisfaction and retention of existing FindLaw customers.

About the Role:


โ— Responsible for the attainment of sales targets and quota on a monthly basis in assigned territory.

โ— Consult with the client regarding web-based marketing strategies and solutions that will meet their business needs and will improve their ability to generate business.

โ— Strategically grow a customer base through prospecting and cold calling.

โ— Technical aptitude (MS Office, internet applications, ).

โ— Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding existing and new clients to identify and resolve client concerns; establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.

About You/ Experience:


โ— 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.

โ— Experience in outside sales in a professional B2B environment.

โ— Proven track record of sales success, fast growth and consistently achieving performance at 100%+.

โ— Previous sales experience in online/advertising environment a plus.


Knowledge & Skills:


โ— Working knowledge of sales process, methods and techniques.

โ— Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to interpret marketplace needs and translate them into products and/or services.

โ— Proven organization skills, effective time management skills and ability to work independently


Travel:

โ— Ability to be actively in the field on most business days with some overnight travel based on territory to various client sites.
