What You’ll Do (AKA Your Superpowers)


As a Float Pool Specialist–Therapist, you will:

  • Interpret referrals and design personalized, goal-driven treatment plans
  • Deliver hands-on therapy across acute, inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings
  • Document with precision and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams
  • Modify care plans when needed to optimize outcomes
  • Coordinate daily patient activity and charges for data processing
  • (If in Aquatics) Provide therapy in pool environments with confidence and care


Within:

  • 90 days → You’ll be competent across all major rehab venues
  • 6 months → You’ll develop expertise in at least one specialty area (brain injury, aquatics, burn, hand therapy, lymphedema, pediatrics, spinal cord injury, and more!)


The Real-World Stuff

This role requires adaptability and resilience. You’ll manage:

  • High caseloads and dynamic environments
  • Exposure to clinical equipment, chemicals, and communicable diseases
  • Occasional interruptions (healthcare is exciting like that!)

As a Float Pool OT, you’re more than a therapist—you’re a life-changer.

You will:
