Position Summary:

Under the general guidance of the Regional Plant Director, the Plant General Manager will lead a team of 70 (+/-) people to drive operational strategies that align with the company’s culture and long-term goals to exceed our customers’ expectations. This individual provides direct oversight to an assigned plant.

Leadership & Strategy

• Provide support by coaching and developing managers and/or supervisors within their plant, particularly in the management techniques of planning, organizing, and leading through continuous coaching and feedback on performance, and conduct performance appraisals, ensuring alignment with company goals and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Makes recommendations and/or approvals on salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals within their plant.
• Provide support and participate in the recruitment and hiring of plant employees as needed.
• Conducts regular meetings to keep teams within their plant informed of current issues and events, procedural/operational changes, and new developments in the department and Company.
• Accountable to oversee selection, training, and development of an effective, efficient, diverse workforce within their plant.
• Provide technical support to managers and other staff, assist in the content development and deployment of training related to plant operations.
• Safety, Security, and Compliance
• Promotes Safety and Security initiatives across the entire team within their plant.
• Daily Operations Regulatory Requirements and Compliance State Federal and Local
• Implement, Communicate, and Train safety protocols and compliance measures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence within their plant.

Plant Management

• Execute and oversee management processes governing costs, facilities, supplies, and people leadership and development while ensuring alignment with company goals and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain facilities and manage facility budgets to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards and company goals.
• Generates and submits Capital Expense requests.
• Keep informed about updates in asset management regulations and industry standards.

The Role:

To plan and execute all maintenance activities to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, and plant utility systems (refrigeration, compressed air, water, electricity). This is a hands-on, autonomous role that combines planning with the direct execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.

What You Will Do:

• Maintenance Planning & Execution: Develop, plan, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Technical Support & Repairs: Directly perform all maintenance tasks, including mechanical and electrical repairs, to resolve failures and keep production equipment in service.
• Utility Systems Management: Maintain and ensure the proper operation of all plant utility systems, including refrigeration, compressed air, water supply, and electrical systems.
• Spare Parts & Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of critical spare parts and supplies, identifying needs and handling purchase requests to ensure materials are available.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate maintenance work with the production department and other peers to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operation.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company safety standards, maintaining a safe work environment.

What You Will Need:

• A Technical degree in Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience performing maintenance in an industrial processing environment, preferably in the seafood industry.
• Proven experience working autonomously and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics and electricity.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing processing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and information.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air, and other utility systems.
• Collaboration and teamwork with peers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, with a strong solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Class A Driver – Flatbed | Manual Transmission

We are hiring experienced Class A drivers to operate 53’ manual transmission flatbeds with sleeper cabs, hauling building materials across dedicated routes throughout the Northwest. This role offers consistent scheduling, hands-on involvement with load preparation, and competitive pay. Drivers should be comfortable navigating mountain passes year-round and spending two nights per week on the road.

Compensation:

$30.00 – $34.00 per hour (DOE)

Per Diem: $100/day in summer, $150/day in winter

Schedule:

• Monday–Wednesday: Up to 14-hour driving days
• Thursday: Yard support – assisting warehouse team with truck loading/prep
• Start time: 5:00 AM
• Expect 2 overnight trips per week (sleeper cab accommodations)

Tacoma, WA

Responsibilities:

• Operate a manual transmission 53’ flatbed truck with sleeper cab
• Haul building materials on three dedicated routes:
• Assist with strapping and securing loads (client handles offloading)
• Chain up and navigate mountain passes during winter weather conditions
• Provide hands-on support in the yard every Thursday / Friday, including prepping and loading outbound trucks

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with experience driving manual transmission
• Must be able to pass MVR review going back 5 years
• Flatbed experience preferred (strapping/securing loads)
• Willingness to chain up and travel through mountainous terrain in winter
• Comfortable with 2 nights/week sleeping in a sleeper cab
