Job Summary
Responsible for protecting the combined Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan organization's legal interest for Point32Health and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides advice and support to the management and staff of the combined organization and its affiliates within assigned business areas. Responsible for representing the organization in legal disputes and litigation, identifying and analyzing legal issues, presenting clear recommendations, drafting key documents, and directly managing legal aspects of complex corporate initiatives.Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing (top five):
- Represents corporate client in litigation and pre-litigation claims, administrative hearings and arbitration; works with outside counsel, as appropriate.
- Negotiates and drafts contracts, including leases, provider agreements, employer group agreements, confidentiality and business associate agreements, vendor agreements, computer hardware purchases and leases, software licenses and other agreements relating to operations.
- Provides legal services in connection with regulatory examinations and investigations, regulatory implementations, regulatory filings, and new product development; establishes and maintains direct relationships with state and federal regulatory authorities.
- Performs legal research and provides verbal and/or written legal advice to management and staff in various departments across the combined organization.
- Provides education to staff on legal issues, including risk management, confidentiality, and member rights.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

Our Behavioral Health Services Division at Riverside Community Care is looking for a Family Partner!
Riverside Community Care seeks parents with lived experience raising a child with behavioral or developmental support needs and sound knowledge of the network of available services to families and youth. This is an opportunity to provide support to parents during a psychiatric emergency assessment of their children. Family Partners will work out of our Milford, MA office and will travel to locations in the local community.
Family Partners work collaboratively with Masterβs level clinicians to intervene and stabilize youth in crisis. They will provide support to parents or guardians by helping them navigate the mental health system, and directing them toward each step in the process.
NOTE: This position requires that the applicant is a parent with lived experience navigating the special education, DCF, DMH, DDS, or mental health service delivery system on behalf of your child. Applicants who do not demonstrate this experience cannot be considered for this role.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours,
- Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm OR 9am to 5pm

Integrated Team Counselor - Mobile
Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Integrated Teams provide clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and to assist individuals in developing skills, establishing natural supports and resources to live successfully in the community. In this vital role, the ITC will:

Mobile Crisis Intervention Clinician - Relief
Excellent opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician! The Masterβs level Clinician is an integral part of the Community Behavioral Health Centerβs (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention program. MCI provides crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day either on-site or mobile to any individual experiencing a mental health and/or substance use challenges.
The mission of the MCI is to respond rapidly, assess effectively, and deliver a course of treatment intended to promote recovery, ensure safety, and stabilize the crisis in a manner that allows the person served to receive medically necessary services in the community, or if medically necessary, in an inpatient or 24-hour diversionary level of care.
The MCI clinician works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, and recovery coaches, to provide core services including crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post-stabilization. The MCI clinician plays an integral role in the daily operations of the Community Behavioral Health Centerβs (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) component. Primary duties include telephone triage, crisis intervention (including evaluation, stabilization, referral and follow-up) on-site and in the community. In addition, the MCI clinician serves as a liaison between the MCI team and community providers for continuity of care.
Orientation to MCI is provided, with particular attention to diagnosis, safety assessment and awareness of resources dependent on level of care.
Clinical supervision is provided including licensure track hours for eligible employee. Riverside also offers an outstanding staff training program offering CEUs.
Schedule: Relief Shift available, Flexible schedules including 10 to 12 hour shifts available.
Pay Rate: $22.53/hourly
- Additional monetary incentives included for completion of MCI evaluations during shift

Job Summary
The Director, Inpatient Utilization Management is responsible for directing, leading, and modifying the business processes and operations for utilization management (UM) review tor is responsible for ensuring achievement of Point32Health corporate goals; compliance with Point32Health business rules; oversight of all aspects of outpatient services utilization management; and development, implementation and refinement of effective business processes that support compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (such as CMS, DOI, NCQA, ACA, USFHP and/or ASO/ERISA).The Director is expected to strategically develop and effectively deploy solutions in support of corporate and division specific goals. She/he will do so in an engaged and professional manner within and through a matrixed business environment. The Director will collaborate with division and enterprise business and medical leadership to drive clinical and/or operational initiatives. The Director is expected to collaborate with other Health Care Services peers / leaders, Operations and/or divisional department clinical leaders (such as the divisional CMO, Medical Directors, Directors and/or business leads), plan medical staff and key provider - facility and physician or group - clinical leadership.
The Director oversees and leads medical management activities related to utilization management and discharge planning for acute inpatient, LTAC (Long-term Acute Care) rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. The Director ensures initiatives are on schedule and within budget, and guides strategy, policies, and protocols in accordance with organizational strategy. The Director will ensure collaboration and coordination with enterprise or divisional based behavioral health and / or case management leaders and programs. The Director assumes a leadership role with internal and external customers to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes.

- Effectively collaborates with divisional Chief Medical Officers, enterprise Medical Directors, enterprise, and division based Behavioral Health leaders to support appropriate utilization of health care services and quality of care for all products.
- Lead or support medical trend management initiatives in partnership with senior leaders for Health Care Services, Commercial and Government Market divisions.
- Develop, implement, and oversee business processes to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory and accreditation requirements and Point32Health business rules.
- Ensure that appropriate key performance and outcomes measures are in place, monitored and utilized for program assessment and program management.
- Oversee and lead effective relationships development between Point32Health and the facility / provider community.
- Actively participate in and/or lead workgroups and steering committees to identify, plan and implement Point32Health strategic expansion initiatives, utilization management, and/or clinical operations strategies.
- Represent Point32Health and Health Care Services to internal and external clients regarding clinical operations, utilization management, complex or unique client systems being designed or revised, and program performance for client specific SLAs (service level agreements) / KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Recruit, hire, educate, and evaluate staff.
- Guide and enhance the professional development of reporting staff. Provide coaching, feedback, and direction to ensure the successful achievement of business and professional goals. Support effective operational techniques while promoting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in all areas of accountability.

Qualifications - what you need to perform the job
Certification and Licensure
RN (Registered Nurse) with unrestricted MA license preferred
Certification in Utilization Management is beneficial but not required
Education
- Required (minimum): Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing); Master's degree
- Required (minimum): 10+ years of progressive and responsible operations experience in managed care and/or health plan systems, at least four (4) of which are at management level. Experience with operations of commercial (fully funded and self-funded), exchange, Medicaid and Medicare products required. Experience in managed care systems required. Ideal candidate will have extensive, relevant inpatient and/or medical management experience with a strong operational background.
Skill Requirements
- Must have a proven ability to achieve goals and deliver "bottom line" results.
- Excellent working knowledge of managed care operations and business processes is essential, with key expertise in the areas of inpatient management and proven competence in directing operational compliance with CMS regulatory and NCQA, URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission) or DOI (Division of Insurance) requirements.

Recovery Coach
Recovery Coaches (RCs) are individuals currently in recovery who have lived experience with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health challenges and have been trained to help individuals with a similar experience to gain hope, explore their own recovery pathway, and achieve their life goals.
The RC will be a part of a multidisciplinary team including a recovery support navigator, medical staff, clinicians, and prescribers in the CBHC. Additionally, the RC will potentially need to coordinate with external providers for cohesive care to ensure the persons goals are met. The RC will provide education to persons engaged in services but may also utilize their own recovery experience and knowledge with the entire treatment team.
The RC will also be responsible for:
- Provide care in individual and group formats
- Maintain knowledge base of Medication Assisted Treatments (MATs), recovery pathways, common mental health diagnoses, and self-help supports, such as: AA, NA, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, Moderation Management, and Dual Recovery Anonymous supports
- Educate Persons engaged in services and treatment team about the individual's recovery values and recovery
- Support the person served in creating and enacting their Recovery Wellness Plan.
Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours
- while this role is predominantly in-person, there are opportunities for some hybrid work
- Weekend work is not required, but highly monetarily incentivized

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Utilization Management (UM) Supervisor, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, processing and managing the daily caseload of pharmacy prior authorization (PA) requests for coverage determinations (CD), and exceptions. The Clinical Pharmacist ensures timely disposition of reviews for CD and exceptions by adherence to established timeframes. The Clinical Pharmacist consults as required with THP Medical Directors (MD) on prior authorization that fails to meet drug prior authorization (PA) criteria for coverage.Job Description
- Performs case reviews in automated prior authorization (Auto PA) tools and guides the case through the entire process to either approval or denial to ensure all coverage determinations and notices are consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements and turnaround times
- Provides all aspects of clinical support needed to perform drug prior authorization (PA) requests and consults as required with THP Medical Directors (MD) on cases that fail to meet coverage criteria

Riverside is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Adult Community Clinical Services team in Dedham! Crisis Specialist - Mobile Crisis Intervention - 2nd Shift
The Crisis Specialist is an integral part of the MCI Program. At MCI the program provides crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day either on-site or mobile to any individual experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse crisis. The Crisis Specialist works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to crisis intervention and stabilization.
The Crisis Specialist will also:
- support the masterβs-level clinicians and Triage staff in providing MCI services to individuals

Crisis Intervention Specialist - Relief
Riverside is seeking a passionate Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIS) to join our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) team! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals!
The Crisis Intervention Specialist is responsible for providing advanced skills in trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation, monitoring of the safety and security of the facility, and coordinating response to urgent and emergency situations. The CIS provides a therapeutic, calming, recovery-based, and pro-active presence in program. The CIS will assist leadership with safety drills, safety protocols, facility-related initiatives, may perform other person-served related support as interest and experience allows.
Note: CBHC regulations require βsecurityβ positions 24/7, this role is a therapeutic, engaging presence and not a typical security guard role.
The Crisis Intervention Specialist may perform other person-served related support as interest and experience allows including, but not limited to:
- Modeling and teaching skills for development of positive relationships and negotiation of conflict
- Providing a calming presence in and around the facility supporting families and youth in conflict or crisis while onsite, while monitoring the safety of persons served, employees, and the facility
- Assisting CBHC leadership in ensuring that safety drills (e.g. fire, medical, behavioral health) are held and documented as per regulation and that required fire protection and suppression equipment is present and in good working order and also ensuring the maintenance of program sites to minimize fire hazards
- Taking lead in ensuring maintenance and cleanliness of physical plant is adequate and reports to Senior Director and/or facilities are aware of any concerns.
- Responding to medical and psychiatric emergencies (e.g. opioid overdose or psychiatric symptom escalation) utilizing medical code protocols such as calling a code, administering naloxone, and administering CPR/first aid
- Assisting with transportation to/from CBHC and the CCS site using agency or personal vehicle

Strategy & Product Development
- Contractual performance and oversight. Work with internal business partners in the management of vendor Service Level Agreements and Performance Guarantees. This includes receiving vendor reports, arranging and attending Joint Operating meetings, reviewing, and documenting vendor performance and assessing corrective actions where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners on the collection, analysis, and maintenance of relevant data.
- Strategy and development - Support the development of plans and operational solutions to address changes to vendor programs on an annual basis.
Vendor Contracting
- Work with finance and internal business owners to analyze ROI of various vendors.
- In partnership with Product Leaders, evaluate, negotiate, and recommend changes to new and existing contracts to best support P32H stakeholders.

- Assist with management of Material Subcontractors.
- Vendor relationship management process including building, nurturing, and maintaining positive working relationships between P32H and its Vendors.
- Ensure contract requirements are adhered to, including language, terms, and reimbursement requirements.
- Ensure vendors obtain and maintain compliance with any P32H and or regulatory requirements.
- Act as resource for internal teams when consultant, business associate and nondisclosure agreements or other information to support Compliance are required.

Triage Clinician - Norwood MCI - 2nd shift
We have a great opportunity to join our mobile crisis intervention team in Norwood. You will be able to work in a supportive small team atmosphere while also working as part of a larger organization that is a leader within the mental health care industry.
The Triage Clinician works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to crisis intervention and stabilization. The Triage Clinician assists MCI clinicians by triaging cases to determine the most appropriate location for an intervention to occur, with priority for community-based, non-hospital locations. The masterβs level Triage Clinician is an integral part of Community Behavioral Health Centerβs Mobile Crisis Intervention program and collaborates with other MCI clinicians to provide crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day either on-site or mobile to any individual experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse problem.
Orientation to Mobile Crisis Intervention is provided, with particular attention to diagnosis, safety assessment and awareness of resources dependent on level of care.
Clinical supervision is provided including licensure track hours for eligible employee. Riverside also offers an outstanding staff training program offering CEUs
The triage clinician will also be responsible for:
- Serves as the primary responder to all incoming calls to MCI, and using clinical and administrative judgment appropriately triages the call
- Arranges for assessments to occur on site or in the community and organizes for transportation as needed
- Secures placements in detox units, inpatient units and diversionary levels of care and coordinates the transfer of those served to these facilities
- Assessing mental health and substance use presentations in order to more appropriately triage cases with a great deal of independence.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing office environment while collaborating and liaising with a variety of stakeholders and providers
- Assists in providing telephonic support to individuals in crisis while also assessing the need for a clinical intervention.
Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours
- Sunday through Thursday: 3pm to 11pm OR 4pm to 12am
Pay Rate:
- Unlicensed Clinician - $35.69/hr
- Independent Licensure - $38.25/hr

- Engage with the provider performance team to understand and monitor provider and network performance. Advise on performance improvement plans and identify contract strategies and incentives that support performance improvement.

Salary Range

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
