Licensed Therapist (LMSW)

Location: Bronx, NY

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

An organization is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to deliver an innovative behavioral health service designed to support older adults in the Bronx. This role is part of a city-funded initiative focused on expanding access to mental health care by integrating services directly within local senior centers, providing a comfortable and accessible care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and engagement efforts to connect older adults with mental health services
• Provide evidence-based mental health treatment through individual and group therapy
• Administer mental health screenings to assess for disorders and functional impairments
• Develop, implement, monitor, and document individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual and family psychotherapy to support client well-being
• Educate clients and families on mental health, aging-related challenges, and coping strategies
• Connect clients to community resources, including health, social, and recreational services
• Maintain relationships with community agencies and referral partners
• Facilitate group psychotherapy sessions under psychiatric supervision
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning
• Represent the program at community events, meetings, and conferences
• Complete all required documentation and reporting in a timely manner using EHR systems (e.g., Netsmart, STARS, Excel)
• Attend trainings, staff meetings, and program development activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Required: Active LMSW (New York State)
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to travel locally via public transportation and navigate client environments
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations

Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates (not required)

Schedule & Work Locations

• Monday & Tuesday: Grand Concourse, Bronx
• Wednesday: Remote
• Thursday & Friday: Co-op City, Bronx
