Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job Summary
We are opening a new Medi-Weightloss clinic in Coatesville, PA!We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in an clinical setting, focusing on weight loss management. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, health and safety, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to perform essential practices aligned with the protocol for a Medi-Weightloss center. This is a contract role with hourly commitment of 15- 20 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions
- Β· Ensures that each patient receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every patient, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product & program knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
Β· Conducts patient calls to include: appointment reminders, care calls, progress/patient concerns and lab results
Β· Obtains and review patient?s medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care
Β· Conducts physical examinations; orders/reviews laboratory results & diagnostic procedures; including EKG
Β· Documents patient progress notes in the patients EMR chart
Β· Assumes responsibility for prescribing and/or dispensing FDA approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines
Β· Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management
Β· Review patient?s progress and manages patient care accordingly
Β· Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physician and/or specialist regarding patient?s care
Β· Stays in contact with Medical Affairs regarding the implementation of patient care policies and other general location policies and procedures
Β· Follows Medical Director requirements for chart review per the Collaborative Agreement
Β· Participates in and assists with interviewing, hiring and evaluation of location personnel.
Β· Conducts consultations and Initial Assessments with patients regarding the Medi-Weightloss? program(s)
Β· Adheres to and stays current on all Medi-Weightloss? program system standards
Non-essential Job Functions
Β· Participates in location marketing efforts and provides ongoing support to promote location profitability & success
Β· Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed
Β· Utilizes phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls when other staff are unavailable
Β· Performs other clinical duties as required

Β· Adhere to all operational guidelines including but not limited to HIPAA, OSHA, and location specific requirements
Β· Participates in refresher training as requested by management. Refresher training may be by means of Regional Trainings, Onsite Support by Corporate Office, Boot camps, and eLearning
Experience
- Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital setting is preferred, with a focus on weight loss management a plus.
- Strong background in patient care, particularly within primary care settings.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Must possess relevant state licensures for employment

Clinicians work with caregivers to change how youth function in their natural setting while following a specific model that promotes positive social behavior and decreases anti-social behavior.
