Summary:

The Paramedic Emergency Medical Services is responsible for administering appropriate emergency medical treatment to people who have been injured in accidents or have other medical conditions. Must be able to operate an advanced life support ambulance to administer care. Routinely assist with the inspection of the ambulance and related equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

- Respond to the site of life-threatening situations, emergency medical situations and non-emergency calls.
- Coordinate response activities with physicians to develop a plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient.

- Respond to multiple casualty incidents and disasters and provide appropriate medical oversight, triage, care, and transport in coordination with other responders.
- Participate in periodic in-service training or as needed basis for any certified and non-certified updates relating to Emergency Medical Services and federal, State, and local EMT-P requirements.
- Operate and utilize an ambulance and related medical care response equipment and tools needed in response situations.
- Make decisions that conform to the norms, policies, and values of Christus EMS and adhere to federal, state, and local compliance and policy requirements.

Summary:

The Emergency Department Technician requires the skills and knowledge of many areas such as: ED Tech, Patient Registrar, Unit Clerk, and Monitor Tech. The Emergency Department Tech performs a variety of RN delegated tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse. He/she assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with training, competence and skill. He/she is knowledgeable of and follows all hospital policies and procedures. Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked and safe patient environment.

Responsibilities:

The Technologist I actively collaborates with the medical team to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency, serving as the radiation safety representative during X-ray usage and continually developing proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies.

The Laboratory Supervisor serves in an administrative role with direct reports, and functions in an exempt pay status. In conjunction with the Laboratory Director and/or Laboratory Manager, this Job develops and implements new procedures, instrumentation, quality control, and reagent use. This Job is also responsible for the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that meet the standards of regulatory agencies and implement service quality improvements. The Laboratory Supervisor ensures all personnel are held accountable through ongoing personnel performance reviews and assists in the orientation and development of personnel competencies for their section(s).

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Summary:

Operates an electroencephalograph to measure impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in diagnosis of brain disorders. Studies wave characteristics during test to detect evidence of brain disorders and may mark graph accordingly for study by physician or neurologist. Writes reports indicating unusual wave characteristics shown on tracings.

Responsibilities:

• Performs EKG's utilizing the Marquette MAC VU, 12, 8 and PC machines
• Performs electrocardiograms for in-patient and outpatient population including all ages
• Performs routine EEG's, Long term video EEG monitoring for evaluation of possible abnormal brain activity and for epilepsy and medicine modification
• Performs Transcranial Doppler studies for evaluation of cerebral blood flow
• Performs accurate Evoked Potential recording (Visual Evoked Responses, and Modified Baer)
• Performs Holter monitor hookup and the scanning of holter monitor tapes
• Performs 12 or 24-hour pneumogram hook-up with or without pulse oximetry for in-patient pediatrics and neonates
• Performs cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological and Tilt table stress
• Schedules all patients for any and all procedures performed in the department that require an appointment
• Maintains all diagnostic equipment by assuring that they are properly functioning and cleaned after every patient
• Notifies physician daily for exam interpretation and files reports
• Checks weekly for needed supplies
