Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
What you will do in this role:
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or multistate license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred
- Two to four years of emergency nursing experience preferred

Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: The Unit Manager is an RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to his or her patients and to provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients in his or her patient care departments/units. Delivery of care to patients is based on criteria that are specific to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of that individual, depending on age and developmental level and on competence of staff assigned to that department. The Unit Manager reviews patient care daily, visits patients regularly, providing input and suggestions to improve care and becomes involved in the care of selected patients. The Unit Manager organizes, coordinates, and facilitates patient care on her/his departments /units during all operating hours. The Unit Manager performs delegated management duties, assigned by the Director/ACNO, which are consistent with her/his scope of nursing practice and competence. The Unit Manager demonstrates an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions. She/he participates in the interviewing, monitoring, coaching, evaluating and disciplining process. The Unit Manager supports the mission, vision, and values, goals and objectives of the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and the HealthONE organization.
The scope and complexity of the Unit Manager position will vary based on the number of cases/procedures in the department, acuity of patients, FTEs supervised, number of different medical staff and medical staff services involved, “normal working hours” responsibility or 24/7 responsibility, the activity level of admissions, discharges and transfers per day, and the education resources available.

II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification. Other specialty certifications as required by Unit.
B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or progress toward BSN with anticipated graduation within two years required.
C. Experience: At least two years acute care/specialty nursing is desirable in area of specialty. At least one year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position.
D. Special Qualifications: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate care within the Standards of Nursing practice at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center. Demonstrates good critical thinking skills. Displays leadership and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects. You will provide initial wound care to the patients’ surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview.
