The practice of a physician assistant shall include medical services within the education, training and experience of the physician assistant that are delegated by the supervising physician.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the OR/participate in rounds on assigned service
- Assess patients. Record physical and history on assigned service with countersignature within 24 hours.
- Apply and remove casts and/or traction
- Change surgical dressings/perform minor suturing/removal of sutures
- Order routine laboratory work and x-rays.
- Start IV's and draw blood.
- On the instruction of the attending physician, will write orders for medical and intravenous fluid.
- Write routine orders including diet, patient activity and all other diagnostic procedures.
- May see patients in ER/ECP and/or Clinic
Experience and Education:
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant school
- Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York
- NCCPA(certified) DEA license/CPR-BLS/NPI/NCC PA required.

Overview:

Responsibilities:

Prescribes medication safely and effectively in accordance with best practices, hospital policy, and NJ regulations, providing patient education as needed. 5. - Order and interpret diagnostic testing including x-rays, MRI, ultrasound, sleep studies and blood work
Primary Responsibilities
- Work as the lead medical/clinical provider as part of an event care team at screening events in different locations in NY and NJ including municipalities, places of business, and corporations.
- Evaluate, help diagnose, and interpret studies performed at events focusing on vascular health, blood flow and circulation, veins, pain, sleep and wellness.
- Help schedule patients for office visit follow ups or procedures as indicated.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Work in the offices alongside the event team, call center team and other members of the practice to assist with follow up after screening events in order to further develop plans of care.
- In office patient care including evaluating, diagnosing, and interpreting studies and bloodwork performed also focusing on vascular health, blood flow and circulation, veins, pain, sleep and wellness.
- Coverage of office hours and other providers as needed
- Help schedule patients for further office visit follow ups or procedures as indicated.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license- NJ/NY is preferred
- Ability to understand and learn different diagnostic studies and treatment modalities to assist with pain management, vascular health and sleep apnea
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate patient care approach
- Multitasking
- Experience with EMR and different tracking software such as Excel, ECW etc.
- Ability to travel in NY and NJ
- Willingness to learn new care pathways
