Responsibilities

• Claims Management: Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property and casualty insurance claims on behalf of clients, including homeowners' claims, automobile claims, and commercial property claims.
• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in insurance litigation cases, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Develop strategies to defend clients in complex insurance disputes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree.

Real estate, land use and construction litigation/transactional legal firm seeks candidate with experience in litigation. (Transactional work experience with the litigation is a bonus but not required). The ideal candidate has been a member of the Georgia Bar for a minimum of six years and would have six to eight years' experience with at least three managing their own matters in an active case load. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, proactive licensed attorney looking for a small firm environment with a sophisticated practice typical of a much larger firm.

You will work closely with principals that have more than 70 years combined experience in the real estate and construction arena. The Firm concentrates on both real estate litigation (including property disputes, zoning, permitting, land-use issues) and transactional work related to the construction, development, leasing and management of real estate projects.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of six years' experience in litigation with a strong preference for real estate and/or construction work, must be admitted to the Georgia Bar and must have managed all aspects of their assigned cases. First-chair experience including case development, discovery, motions practice and trial preparation is preferred. He or she must have excellent writing, research, problem solving, and analytical skills. Experience, skill and any portable business will all be utilized to calculate actual salary as well as the opportunities for both merit and discretionary bonuses and the Firm provides additional compensation to all attorneys, at all levels, for self-generated new business as well as supporting marketing efforts.

Essential Functions:

• Direct the activities of the reception area of immigration law firm.
• Interact w/ immigration law clients in English and Spanish to clearly understand their legal needs.
• Analyze & resolve client concerns in a timely manner.
• Discuss client concerns w/ management & escalate to the appropriate member of the legal staff when required.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls for all phone lines.
• Assist with client in-take process and utilize the Immigration Tracker system to open client cases in the firm's database system.
• Schedule initial consultation (IC) appointments for all attorneys in the practice. Call & confirm all IC appointments for all attorneys.
• Receive & review voicemails and return messages for IC appointments and payments for new legal processes.
• Utilize the Immigration Tracker system to generate and oversee reports for prospective clients.
• Follow up with clients to ensure they understand the legal retainer process.
• Process clients' payments for IC appointments, new legal processes, and related legal services.
• Maintain log for incoming FedEx/UPS and client drop offs and distribute packages to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all conference rooms, as needed
• Train newly hired staff regarding front desk duties.
