Salary and Benefits Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows: GL-5/GL-7 $49,739
- $89,518 per year Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others.
A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014.

Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

The client is seeking a Legal Counsel for a global investment bank, offering a hybrid work schedule and opportunities for long-term career growth.
The role primarily focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of commercial and procurement contracts.
This includes master services agreements, license agreements, and business process outsourcing agreements, among others.
Legal Counsel will also be responsible for advising on complex contractual negotiations and issues such as intellectual property protections, cybersecurity, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector.
Additionally, the role entails supporting various business lines with non-disclosure agreements, and assisting in the risk review and due diligence of third-party suppliers to keep abreast with the latest regulatory developments.
The position further involves providing support to the U.S.
businesses of the client through the drafting and structuring of intragroup agreements with its affiliates.
This includes performing necessary legal research and contributing to the continuous improvement of the client's legal templates, sample clause libraries, negotiation guidelines, and commercial playbooks.
A critical part of the job will also be to maintain awareness of emerging legislation, policy statements, relevant trends, and best industry practices relevant to the client's operations.
The Legal Counsel will also play a role in fostering effective relationships with outside counsel and managing legal costs and invoices efficiently.
