Position Summary

The Director of Development, Leadership Giving brings proven experience stewarding annual donors and securing major gifts of $25,000 and above, including multi‐year and six‐figure commitments. The Director manages all phases of the gift cycleβ€”identifying prospects, developing cultivation strategies, engaging volunteers and board members, soliciting support, and maintaining strong donor stewardship.

The Director proactively strengthens existing donor relationships and builds new ones. This role leads development projects, collaborates with colleagues to achieve strategic goals, and tracks and reports progress to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development (AVP) and working closely with the Vice President of Development, the Development Team, executive leadership, staff, and Board members, the Director applies creativity and initiative to advance donor engagement and support major event-related fundraising efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Director of Development, Leadership Giving include:

Fundraising Strategy

Work with the Associate Vice President of Development and the team to develop and implement strategies for leadership‐level donor acquisition and retention. Provide support in drafting and refining donor communications. Cultivate and sustain long‐term relationships with donors and prospects, including coordination with members of the Board of Directors. Employ structured "moves‐management" strategies to identify new prospects, advance them through the solicitation process, elevate giving levels, and ensure effective stewardship of event donors and sponsors.

Focus Areas

The Director has primary development responsibility for the Miami-Dade and Broward region, including the growth and management of the Miami Advisory Council, which is comprised of leading donors in the area. The Director also oversees the programming and engagement with the Foundation's Chairman's Advisory Council, consisting of leadership‐level donors.. This regional portfolio requires focused engagement with individual donors, grantmaking foundations, and corporate partners.

Build a Robust Donor Base

Develop and manage a personal portfolio of major donors and high‐capacity prospects ($10,000–$100,000 annually) to cultivate, solicit, and steward. Provide exemplary donor relationship management and ensure full adherence to all gift agreement requirements. Direct and coordinate special events and airboat tours that advance cultivation and stewardship objectives.

Communications & Follow-up

Education and Qualifications

Responsibilities include reviewing budgeting advice, identifying useful money-saving ideas, and sharing your opinion on which strategies are most helpful.

No professional experience is required, but an interest in personal finance, saving money, or budgeting is helpful.

Job Summary


The Visual Merchandiser uses creativity and a strong sense of style to design and maintain displays that enhance the shopping experience and highlight key products. This role focuses on seasonal trends, three-dimensional props, vinyl graphics, and in-store events to bring brand concepts to life.Β  You need a good eye for design, knowledge of fashion and visual presentation, and the ability to work with tools and materials safely.Β

  • On the floor, they focus on the customerβ€”offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to create customer relationships to bring the customers back.
  • Throughout the day, they maintain a shoppable spaceΒ by ensuring the store remains visually compelling and easy to shop by refreshing displays, updating signage and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves to reflect current priorities and trends.

Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Who You Are and What You Will Do



  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to (1) understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors, and (2) read and understand employment policies, visual and merchandising directives and safety rules/procedures in English
  • Able to creatively execute all visual merchandising projects in assigned departments on a monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis.
  • Able to create and inspire customer purchases through innovative and exciting visual presentation and product merchandising including mannequin styling and composition, window displays, fashion trend statements, fixture placement, wall formatting, product placement and visual collateral usage.
  • Β Ability to create compelling fashion presentations by styling merchandise from the sales floor, inspiring customers to purchase. Demonstrates strong knowledge of current fashion trends while upholding Macy’s visual merchandising standards
  • Install promotional and event collateral, including vinyl graphics, wall signage, and prop displays, in line with the company’s marketing calendar and direction.
  • Construct and install three-dimensional elements using hand/power tools such as drills, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, staple guns, ladders, spray paint, and knives.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness by adding creative details and enhancements that reflect Macy’s style while staying within visual direction.
  • Support merchandise moves and maintains the floor throughout the day by updating visual signage and keeping displays recovered.
  • Collaborate and communicate with store leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform



  • This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.Β 
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level.Β 
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
