Provides exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.

• Provides direct patient care services. Elicits detailed patient histories, assesses patient medical needs, initiates appropriate diagnostic testing and/or treatment and completes appropriate medical record documentation.
• Screens patients for appropriateness for cardiac testing.
• Supervises exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
• Make use of evidence-based medicine procedures by utilizing quality and cost-effective care
• Performs other procedure related tasks in Cardiology.
• Follow-up care.
• Assists Physicians with hospital rounding as necessary. Provides help with on-call duties.
• Qualifications
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with licensure in good standing in the State of Rhode Island
• 3 years of experience preferred; will consider new grads.
• Must also hold BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work full time/part time in our practice. The job description of a nurse practitioner includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients health. You will be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. Experience in a pulmonary or sleep lab is preferred. As practitioner, you will have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.

Our office physician, physician assistant and manager will be coordinating training to ensure a smooth transition.
