Rewarding opportunity for a BC/BE Cardiologist with Cardiac Critical Care experience and/or training to join a team of collegial and highly trained Cardiac ICU staff in Hartford, CT.

Position Highlights: Care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease which can include pre- and postoperative care, heart transplant and/or a Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), and acute mechanical circulatory support (ECMO and intra-aortic balloon pumps) and cardiogenic shock Successful candidate will be able to place chest tubes and perform bronchoscopy The critical care unit is staffed with highly trained advanced practitioners and fellows The Cardiac Surgery service performs approximately 1500 surgeries per year and has one of the highest post-transplant survival rates in the nation The Community: Hartford, Connecticut, is located in the central part of the state along the Connecticut River.

It is approximately 120 miles northeast of New York City and about 100 miles southwest of Boston, making it well-positioned between these two major metropolitan areas.

This central location provides easy access to both cities, with a travel time of about two hours by car, offering Hartford residents the benefits of a smaller city while remaining connected to larger urban centers.
