Summary
The Education Department at Saint Xavier University seeks university coordinators and supervisors to provide school-side support in assessing student teachers, practicum students, and residency students currently enrolled in various undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs. University Supervisors and Coordinators serve as resources for student teachers and act as liaisons between the University and the field. They offer experienced and objective perspectives on overall classroom effectiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
UNIVERSITY SUPERVISOR [Student Teaching and Practicum]
- Observe and gather assessment data on lessons conducted by student teachers [minimum of 5 visits during the 16-week student teaching experience OR 3 visits during the 16-week practicum experience for undergraduate elementary education students]
- Provide descriptive feedback on a student teacher's execution of professional responsibilities (lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, classroom interaction, maintenance of records)
- Help the student teacher relate teaching theory to classroom practice (e.g., discuss reasons for selecting materials and methods)
- Help student teachers develop consistent classroom management practices conducive to learning, promoting respect for others and cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Supervisors are assigned supervision of a maximum of 10 student teaching and/or practicum students.
UNIVERSITY COORDINATOR [Alternative Licensure Residency]:
- Conduct weekly observations of the candidate engaged in teaching and provide formal written and verbal feedback conferences (face-to-face or virtual, depending upon school schedules) focusing on areas of strengths and continuous improvement following the Danielson Observation model
- Provide individualized professional development as needed
- Review and provide feedback on candidates' lesson plans, reflections, and instructional schedule
- Collaborate with the school principal in the evaluation of candidates, e.g., content-specific curriculum competencies (NAEYC), formative (at the end of Residency I), and summative evaluation (at the end of Residency II) of candidates.
- Coordinators are assigned supervision of a maximum of 7 alternative licensure residency students.
Qualifications
UNIVERSITY SUPERVISOR [Student Teaching and Practicum]
- Three or more years of P-12 teaching experience and/or related contemporary professional experience
- Certification in the area of supervision
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent people skills and organizational skills
- Bachelors Degree
UNIVERSITY COORDINATOR [Alternative Licensure Residency]:
- Minimum of four years of teaching experience in grades PreK-12 (Illinois Professional Educators License with an endorsement in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Level, and/or Secondary Education preferred)

The Simulation Education Specialist supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based and skills-based learning experiences within the School of Nursing. This position collaborates with faculty and simulation staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based simulation and skills training that promotes clinical reasoning, psychomotor competency, and safe patient care. The specialist ensures all simulation and skills activities align with course objectives, accreditation standards, and current best practices in nursing education.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Simulation Design and Facilitation
- Collaborate with faculty and content experts to design, plan, and implement simulation- and clinical skills learning experiences aligned with program and course outcomes.
- Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate nursing skills and procedures in the skills laboratory and simulation environments using evidence-based techniques.
- Develop realistic clinical and procedural scenarios that integrate core nursing skills, professional standards, and safety competencies.
- Facilitate pre-briefings, simulation sessions, and structured debriefings using established frameworks (e.g., INACSL Standards, NLN Jeffries Simulation Theory).
- Adapt simulations to accommodate diverse learners and clinical contexts.
- Provide direct instruction and remediation for students in foundational and advanced psychomotor nursing skills.
- Maintain a supportive and psychologically safe learning environment that encourages student engagement and self-reflection.
- Partner with course coordinators to ensure simulation and skills activities are intentionally integrated throughout the nursing curriculum.
- Assess student performance in both simulation and skills competencies, providing timely, constructive feedback to support growth.

Research and Quality Improvement
- Participate in simulation-related scholarship, research, and grant initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered RN license.

o Certifies that finished goods have passed all quality checks and is compliant to regulatory standards before shipping
o Coordinates all hold activities including those at the plant and holds at 3rd party distribution centers
o Performs investigations, tracking, destruction requests, and releasing of all quality holds
* Data mining and analytical analysis
o Performs necessary VIF (ERP) transactions related to finished product hold and release

This position is for B shift - Thursday through Sunday and E/O Wednesday from 7:00pm - 7:00am. There is a $2 differential for this shift.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
- Document all necessary supply inventories
- Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
- Must work a minimum of 12 hours
- Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12- hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift
Education:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Technical / Trade School preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take measurements and understand tare weight).

Job Description Summary
The R&D Formulation Intern is responsible for supporting the R&D Scientists and Lab Coordinator in preparing and shipping product samples, sample preparations, innovations research, processes, plant trials, laboratory clean up and organization, analysis of raw materials and finished products, and any other assignments. This internship is for the term beginning Month-Year through Month-year depending upon the university schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in validating new raw material against specifications
- Provide feedback on development / optimization of SOPs
- Assist technicians and scientists in creation of laboratory test batches
- Operate and maintain pilot lab equipment properly and safely
- Perform routine analytical testing required for projects and studies and report results
- Assist scientists to carry our factory trials for new recipes, ingredients, and procedures
- Packing and shipping of samples
- Maintain the lab in proper working order
- Take part in R&D team meetings to share priorities and progress of assigned work and projects
Qualifications
Minimum degree and experience:
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Actively pursuing bachelors degree in Food Science or related field
Skills and Competencies
- PC skills: Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic working knowledge of food science principles.
- Able to deliver on time, with guidance.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Excels in the management of personal tasks and objectives.
- Actively contributes ideas for continuous improvement.
- Strives to execute objectives agreed upon.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Capable of effectively communicating (verbal & written) information to R&D Technicians/Scientists
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Must be able work in normal office conditions and in the manufacturing plant.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Travel is not required.
Working Conditions
Work is performed largely in office, lab, and factory environments. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. No business travel is required.

This position is for D shift - Thursday through Saturday and E/O Wednesday from 7:00pm - 7:00am. Wage will include a $4.00 night shift differential.
Job Summary:
As a Packaging Machine Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the packaging machine for the end of our manufacturing process.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate high-speed packaging and palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of cases selected for different size formats
- Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
- Load packaging materials into packaging machine and palletizing machine
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
- Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
- Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity, and quality
- Operate industrial carts and power hand carts
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging and palletizing area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours
