JOB SUMMARY
ย
The Assistant Nursing manager is a Registered Nurse (RN) who has responsibility for the supervision of patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. This position supervises a work group to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective patient and family centered care is provided in support of the hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives.

This position works collaboratively with functional leadership and is responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the assigned department including off shift and weekend supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff. This position manages resources, quality improvement, payroll, creating and maintaining colleague schedules and monitors patient throughput to facilitate efficient clinical operations. In addition, this position is responsible for a safe and therapeutic unit environment, which includes working in the department as staff RN to assist as needed.

This position supports leadership in ensuring standards of excellence and professional development are fostered and met. This position also participates in and may lead Performance Improvement work in their assigned department.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelorโs Degree in Nursing required. Masterโs Degree preferred.

Introducing this excellent opportunity to join the obstetric team at Hartford Hospital. Our Labor and Delivery unit is a high risk referral center for the area and performs approximately 4,000 deliveries per year. Our Obstetric Triage unit evaluates more than 3,000 patients per year. As the volume and acuity of our patients has grown, we are looking to bolster our inpatient obstetric service with 24/7 APP coverage.ย ย
Strong clinical reasoning and excellent communication skills required. This role functions both independently and in collaboration with nurses, residents, and attending physicians. ย This position will report to the OB/GYN Hospitalist Director.ย
Advanced Practitioner Role Scope:โฏโฏโฏโฏย
Care for patients admitted or being triaged across our Obstetric service line.ย
Help on Labor and Delivery with admissions, magnesium sulfate checks and labor checks when residents unavailable, during sign-out and periods of higher volume.ย
Rounding and evaluating our antepartum patients as needed based on volume and resident coverage.ย Evaluation may include concerns for labor, elevated BPโs, infection or medication orders. Help with biophysical profiles (BPPโs) for non-reactive NSTโs and limited obstetric ultrasoundย ย
Typical postpartum care includes rounding, discharge planning, coordination of inpatient consults, responding to elevated blood pressures, postpartum or postoperative concerns, medication reconciliation and placement of Nexplanon.ย ย
If needed in triage you will evaluate pregnant patients for pre-term/term labor, rupture of membranes, bleeding, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, abdominal pain and a variety of other complaints. There is always an attending assigned to cover our service serving as backup to the residents and APPโs.ย

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and quality of Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments by reviewing for regulatory and policy adherence. The individual in this role provides clinical staff with guidance on documentation, utilization, and patient care decisions to support optimal clinical and operational outcomes. They review visit utilization for care appropriateness and collaborate with clinicians on necessary modifications, reporting any potential over or underutilization to leadership. The role requires timely completion of workflows in Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and flexibility to meet agency needs.
Collaboration with teams is key to identifying trends and developing action plans to address them. Participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives is expected, along with supporting the agencyโs compliance with data submission requirements for regulatory and payor standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews OASIS assessments for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance, providing recommendations to ensure quality and reliability.
Guides staff on clinical, documentation, and utilization decisions to improve OASIS accuracy and care quality, recommending cost-effective corrections that support clinical and operational goals.
Reviews visit utilization for appropriate patient care, collaborates and consults clinicians on needed adjustments, and reports utilization concerns and financial risks to the clinical manager. Ensures timely completion of HCHB workflows and maintains a flexible schedule to support agency needs.
Collaborates to identify documentation trends, supports improvement planning, participates in quality initiatives, and helps ensure compliance and accurate data submissions across all settings.
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited educational program leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Required
Bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree in PT, OT, SLP preferredย
2 years in certified home health clinical required. ย 3 years in verified home health preferred. OASIS Certificate and/or Quality/Compliance Certificate preferred. Homecare Homebase experience preferred.

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. This role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies (single-phase and two-phase), hydronic system design, structural integration, and manufacturable rack-level infrastructure solutions.
This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
- Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.
- Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.
- Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.
- Provide technical leadership in vendor qualification and management for mechanical components and liquid cooling subsystems.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting performance, schedule, or cost, and contribute to R&D initiatives advancing liquid cooling technologies and system innovation.
