Design Engineer

Location: On-site | Corpus Christi, TX

Our client is a long-standing provider of precision fluid and instrumentation solutions supporting high-impact sectors such as power generation, petrochemical, semiconductor, and advanced manufacturing. As part of an ongoing expansion, they are adding a skilled Design Engineer to their Corpus Christi engineering hub. This role will bridge customer concepts and manufacturable designs, driving projects from initial requirements through production while working alongside sales, field service, and fabrication teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into detailed Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), 3D models, and fabrication drawings for tubing, valve, and instrumentation assemblies.
  • Perform engineering calculations for pressure, flow, and material compatibility to verify safety and reliability.
  • Lead design reviews, generate bills of material, and enter configurations into ERP/CRM systems to support quoting and production.
  • Provide on-site technical support during fabrication, testing, and installation; regional travel estimated at 25 – 40 percent, with higher frequency during the first 12 – 18 months.
  • Manage several concurrent projects, maintaining schedule, quality, and budget targets while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices for design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
  • Three or more years designing fluid-control or process-instrumentation products or systems; experience with pump seal support equipment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks (or comparable CAD), plus experience generating P&IDs and fluid schematics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to tailor technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Working knowledge of project-management tools and business systems such as SAP, CRM, or business-intelligence platforms.
  • Ability to lift 25 – 35 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Reliable transportation for regional customer and site visits.

Position Summary

Driscoll Health System is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Physiatrist to establish and lead our pediatric PM&R program in Corpus Christi. Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care for children with neurological, spasticity, musculoskeletal, and developmental conditions.
  • Collaborate with neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, and other pediatric subspecialties to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care.
  • Support the rehabilitation needs of patients recovering from neurosurgical interventions.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for pediatric rehabilitation.
  • Serve as a leader in program development, quality initiatives, and growth of the rehabilitation service line.
  • Lead a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP to develop and implement rehabilitation programming across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The CHRISTUS Spohn South Labor and Delivery, Antepartum and Obstetrical Emergency Departments are all staffed by one group of associates that are crossed trained in all three areas. Registered Nurses, OB Surgical Technicians, Certified Nurse Aides and Unit Secretaries make up our wonderful team of associates. In addition, we have 24-hour CRNA coverage for maternity anesthesia and our OBED is staffed with in-house OB Hospitalist to accept transfers, care for patients and handle emergencies 24 hours a day. We average about 220 deliveries per month. We are capable of providing care for our patients in need of Non-stress test, Amniocentesis, Induction of Labor, Management of Postpartum complications such as hemorrhage or elevated blood pressure, and have the capability to begin an emergency section within 30 minutes of decision time and recognized as a Texas Ten Step for Breastfeeding. Position Requirements:

Education/Skills All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Services-specific competency validation.Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. Experience Perinatal RN Residency, or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)Current NRP certification requiredCurrent ACLS certification required
