Our client, a popular fashion brand, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their team in Jersey City on a contract basis!


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, administer, and ensure compliance of compensation programs including analytical support for executive, salaried and hourly employees for corporate, retail and distribution center employees.
  • Partner with the Talent Operations team on the administration of compensation changes, equity program, annual merit/promotion cycles, and variable compensation programs.
  • Conduct market pricing using external surveys and internal data to benchmark against competitors and inform pay recommendations.
  • Support in the advisement of Talent Business Partners, managers, and leaders on compensation matters, such as new hire offers, promotions, and policy interpretation.
  • Evaluate job architecture for continued alignment to the business and marketplace.
  • Classify jobs and assist in creating or updating job family descriptions and job levelling framework.
  • Perform internal pay equity and fairness analyses to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Analyze compensation programs for effectiveness, cost impact, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Generate reports, conduct trend analysis, and provide data-driven recommendations to support compensation decisions.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide systems expertise and support to key stakeholders with Workday.
  • Perform error handling and diagnose Workday identify data issues, including fixing employee records.


Qualifications:

  • Education: a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in compensation, with experience in a large multinational organization and working with various employee types (salaried, hourly, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel for complex modeling, logic statements, and lookups.
  • Familiarity with HR software, compensation management tools - Workday Advanced Compensation experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with equity software and experience with equity administration a plus
