POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and coordinates the operation and performance of the diagnostic area of Radiology in coordination with the professional staff, Chief Radiologist, Chief Technologist, Assistant Director and/or Director of Radiology. Performs administrative and patient care duties and ensures the prompt and efficient performance of all procedures. Keeps abreast of new technical and theoretical concepts and disseminates departmental information. Supports University Healthβs policies, values and guest relations initiatives at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Certification by the Texas Department of Health (MRT) is mandatory. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is mandatory. Three years supervisory experience in a radiology department is required. Three years of managerial experience is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides comprehensive health care to a population that has multiple health care needs in the Detention Health Care setting of University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have completed training in an ACGME-approved and accredited residency program.Β Completion of a residency program from the time of graduation from medical school, in excess of the traditional time period for the practice specialty, must be fully explained in writing. All incumbents will be expected to be board certified in their specialty or be eligible for board certification.Β Must obtain board certification in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff bylaws.

Β Provides nursing care that is efficient, appropriate, and therapeutic for patients while ensuring that established security requirements are maintained (as defined by the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and Central Magistrateβs Office). Continuously monitors the condition and status of patients and delivers care that meets or exceeds established standards. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Β Experience in correctional health care, psychiatric nursing, or nursing in an emergency environment is preferred. Prior knowledge or experience within the University Health Systemβs nursing services and/or certification as a Certified Correctional Health Care Provider (CCHP) is also preferred.
LICENSURE
Β Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must also maintain current CPR certification.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Baby Bexar Healthy Families Community-Based Perinatal Health Initiative, this position will serve as liaison between health system providers and community based resources in order to improve maternal health outcomes for University Health patients. This position will work with a clinical care team and a team of social service agencies to assist and guide patients through prenatal, delivery and postpartum services. This position will provide screening services, education, support, and patient care coordination. Candidate will ensure appropriate information is disseminated, patient is navigated to medical appointments, and follow-up with health care needs. All functions and behaviors are applicable to the clinical and community settings. Additional activities will include patient tracking, data entry, and reporting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, health education or related field of study is required. Four years of experience in the area of health education, public health, social work and/or case management may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree. Community Health Worker certification preferred. Knowledge and experience working with programs of similar scope and focus preferred. Spanish fluency is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
At the front door of University Health, this role serves to screen patients needing placement in acute or observation beds for the purposes of correct status determinations, and the coordination of appropriate diversions to home or other level of care more appropriate for the services needed to be rendered. This position requires assertive clinical acumen and communication skills for serving in the liaison roles with medical staff, nursing, and patients and families.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Texas, BSN preferred. National certification (e.g. CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.) in related field is preferred. Three years recent, full-time hospital experience preferred. Work experience in case management, utilization review or hospital quality assurance experience is preferred. Must complete a Clinical Documentation Improvement Course within specified time of hire date.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. National certification in related field is preferred. Case Manager Certification (CCM or ANCC) is highly desirable.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Β Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, or eligibility to take the registry with one year grace period for new graduates from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification or a temporary Certification (TMRT) is required. Must also have current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association.

Performs procedures for testing or analysis on specimens submitted to the laboratory. Evaluates test results for accuracy and submits results for the purpose of aiding the physician in diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of patients. Performs analyses that may involve a complex network of steps, variable fine-line discriminations of several parameters, correction of a variety of errors, and the operation and maintenance of complicated instruments. Mentors and accounts for work of trainees and other supportive technical personnel employed by the laboratory. Performs assigned duties rapidly and accurately. Plans work activities and makes decisions connected with own work. Recognizes unusual results and/or abnormalities and takes prompt and appropriate action to assure the accuracy and validity of test result. Assumes accountability for the dissemination of patient information to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patients. Duties may also include performance of procedures associated with procurement of specimens from patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Requires at least three (3) years for experience in Microbiology
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university, and
- Successful completion of a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved), and certification in clinical laboratory sciences by a recognized certifying agency.

- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university, and

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required. Certification in Specialty for area of laboratory employment required without a Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) certification. Must maintain certification status in compliance with specifications for continuing education required by the certification agency.
