We are representing a FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking senior level Continuous Improvement Manager. Reporting to the General Manager of a $1B/1,300+ employee campus, this candidate will be tasked developing CI/Lean strategy and executing deployment driving margin through sustainment of plant KPI's/deliverables and waste elimination.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Candidate will assume ownership over the Continuous Improvement function while reporting to General Manager of a 1,300+ employee/$1B operation.
• Act as a resource to the organization for the use of continuous improvement techniques such as the Hochin, Kaizen and various Lean Manufacturing techniques and other improvement methods.
• Direct the activities of the CI group including their interaction with maintenance function, Operations to drive site wide improvements.
• Lead capital management, inventory control, and others as required.
• Oversee CI development and training; facilitate special CI events activities to drive 6S, plant improvement performance in capitalizing on removing waste and improvement of yield, and production processes.
• Drives engagement with production personnel to participate suggest improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to effect change in a manufacturing environment and ensure improvement activity is being communicated, understood, and supported within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and deliver continuous improvement training.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in technical field is preferred/degree required.
• Candidate should possess at least 5-10 years of CI/Lean manufacturing ownership in high speed manufacturing environment
• Highly organized, able to work with limited direction, aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking supervision, motivated to successfully meet deadlines, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Account Manager

• Develop trusted advisor relationships with assigned customer base
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our IT solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement.
• Quarterly onsite meetings with assigned customers providing recommendations and to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives with management and clients.
• Prepare and review reports on account status with your customers.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to identify and grow opportunities within your base clients.
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
• Prepare and present proposals for products and service offerings.
• Document customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints or comments including actions taken.

• Preferred experience in customer service, an education in Information Technology or an understanding in IT is a plus. Some sales experience would be helpful but not a requirement.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed.
• Must work effectively with senior-level executives and staff; must also be able to work independently.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
• Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
• Must have strong customer support orientation for external customers, demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information.

Responsible for maintaining customer relationships and generating new business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate leads and solicit new business opportunities.
• Understand customer and prospects needs to accurately submit specifications into estimating. Monitor the quoting process to provide estimates to the customer in a timely manner.
• Evaluate prospects needs and identify if fits Spartan’s product offering.
• Identify key buyers and decision makers within the organization.
• Introduce Spartan’s product offering to potential and existing customers. Assist customers in building the best product for their application using knowledge of substrates, printing processes and design structure.
• Be present and available during customer press checks and tours. Assist Account Managers to build best possible relationship with customer.
• Work with an attitude of professionalism and integrity with customers and fellow employees, keeping in confidence all information about our operations, customers and management practices. Maintain yourself and your office environment in a clean, organized and professional manner.
• Maintain an attitude of constant learning and improvement to benefit yourself professionally and benefit the company.
• Follow all safety standards, both in the office environment and when present in the production facility.

Qualifications:

• Must be motivated to grow company business using consistent and creative strategies.
• Competent in Microsoft Office. Detail and sales oriented, able to multi-task, with good working knowledge of offset, screen and digital printing and an understanding of prepress requirements, finishing and fulfillment.
• Position requires a person who is organized and is able to gain confidence of print buyers in markets focused on retail, consumer packaged goods and advertising agencies.
