Faculty in the Division of Acute Care Surgery serve in leadership and administrative roles integral to the growth, stability and excellence in care throughout the healthcare system. Academic interests are well supported through the Comparative Effectiveness and Clinical Outcomes Research Center – CECORC, a research center dedicated to encouraging and enabling research activities through education, collaboration and compliance.
With strong commitments to medical and academic excellence, faculty hold appointments at UC Riverside and Loma Linda University, and train surgeons in our RUHS Surgical Critical Care fellowship and general surgery residency.
We are seeking acute care surgeons at the associate professorial level or higher. Requirements – acute care surgeons with M.O. degree, and American Board of Surgery and Surgical Critical Care board certification. A California medical license is required, but accommodations will be considered for qualified candidates pending relocation and licensure. This facility has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures including The Joint Commission designation as a Perinatal Center of Excellence., The hospital is also a Level I Trauma Center and a new Center of Excellence for Research as well as certification as a Primary Stroke Center.
The applicant will join 8 generalist Ob/Gyns at The Women’s Health Center as well as a robust high-risk service staffed by 3 fellowship-trained MFM physicians and full-service Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology division. You will be part of the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, with the appropriate level of faculty appointment and will work with residents from the LLU Ob/Gyn residency program. The outpatient facility is a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) with great access to support services.

The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology provides care for approximately 11,000 children in a variety of clinical settings including children’s hospital operating rooms, interventional cardiology/radiology, MRI, CT scan, radiation oncology and a GI suite. The pediatric cardiac anesthesia team does more than 200 complex cardiac cases each year, including heart transplants. There is an established pediatric fellowship training program and a robust residency program.

The pediatric neurology division is currently made up of 11 Pediatric Neurologists, with specialists in epilepsy, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, headache medicine, sleep medicine, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital opened its new 380-bed hospital in August 2021. It includes a 25 bed Pediatric ICU, a 90 bed Neonatal ICU, and a 6 bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. LLUCH is an NAEC Level IV epilepsy center. We are seeking energetic faculty clinical investigators who desire to develop an academic, clinical research and patient-centered program, in close collaboration with established basic and translational scientists at Loma Linda University.
Successful candidates will have a primarily clinical assignment, but will also be expected to develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials, other collaborative research in Hematological malignancies. Leadership opportunities are available based on candidate rank and experience.
Loma Linda University has a strong collaborative, mentoring and supportive environment especially for graduating fellows and junior faculty applicants.
Teaching responsibilities would involve oversight of residents, fellows, and mid-level providers during ambulatory and inpatient activities.
In addition to standard therapies, TCT/Hem Malignancies Division is focused on the development and implementation of novel therapies for Hematological Malignancies including novel agents, small molecules inhibitors, immune therapies (MoAbs, CAR-T, vaccine, and gene therapy) as well as autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation.
Specific hematological disease and treatment modality focus is optional and is based on candidate preference.
This work is supported by the Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit, dedicated clinic space and infusion centers, inpatient unit, a new cGMP and TCT laboratory, FACT accredited TCT program in adult autologous and allogeneic BMT and immune effector cell therapy, fully characterized tumor samples repository and new state-of-the-art Medical Center building opened in 2021, all on the Medical School campus.
Loma Linda University was established in 1905. Loma Linda University Medical Center is the major and only Academic Medical Center in the Inland Empire in Southern California that provides Transplant and Cell therapy.
Qualification requirements include MD (or equivalent), completion of fellowships in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology, and Hematology or Medical Oncology board eligible or certified.
