As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in aircraft operations. A Color Vision Certification may be necessary for portions of this job. Position Responsibilities:

• Perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations on aircraft structures, systems, and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics, for both standard and experimental certificated aircraft.

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, and service aircraft and engine systems to ensure they are flight-ready, documenting any nonconforming materials or components according to established specifications and procedures.

• Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes, including customer/FAA coordination, configuration change verification, conformity inspections, and airworthiness inspections.

• Utilize technical specifications, sketches, manuals, and FAA publications to effectively complete work assignments.

• Maintain company and FAA-required records and inspection forms while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Plan and organize work packages to promote safe and efficient operations, meeting predetermined schedules.

• Operate various information systems, including company web-based systems and Microsoft Office products, to perform assigned tasks.

• Interpret and adhere to airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other approved data.

• Apply mathematical calculations to set up and use precision measuring tools for accurate measurements.

• Create production aids as needed to facilitate work assignments.

• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work.

• Exchange information with suppliers, customers, or company representatives to explain or demonstrate operations and tests.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights up to 35 lbs.

• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

• Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

• Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience) OR with troubleshooting electrical systems or complex mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulics, pneumatics, heavy machinery, diesel, construction).

• Must be willing to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.

• 5+ of aircraft maintenance experience on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience)

The Boeing Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) team are seeking a Mid-Level (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Safety & Airworthiness Specialist to join its Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness Compliance team within Boeing ODA (Organization Designation Authorization) in Everett, Washington.

This is a unique career opportunity that will support the management and execution of the ODA Unit Member Interference processes, ensuring strict adherence to the requirements of the Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act of 2020. This includes early dispute resolution, interference allegation investigations, coordination with Corporate Investigations and Legal, and ensuring compliance with FAA requirements related to interference prevention and resolution. The candidate will apply detailed knowledge of Boeing’s ODA procedures, FAA regulations, and the Act’s mandates to support root cause analyses and corrective action plans related to interference and certification safety issues

In Addition, this role will work closely with a dynamic team of project managers, internal Boeing organizations, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The successful candidate will lead a variety of compliance-related projects, primarily conducting and managing Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and applying problem-solving models on issues identified by the FAA or internally.

This Individual Contributor role requires the use of various project management tools and software to facilitate and conduct investigations related to Airworthiness Non-Compliances and ODA unit member interference. The candidate will conduct research to determine noncompliance with the ODA Procedures Manual, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and the Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act of 2020. They will provide oversight and guidance to resolve medium to complex certification/compliance technical issues, clarify procedures related to FAA-issued Letters of Investigation, compliance actions, voluntary disclosures, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances.

The role involves close coordination with internal stakeholders and the FAA, organizing and conducting meetings to resolve outstanding issues, and cross-functional collaboration between Engineering teams, Regulatory Administration, Safety, Quality, and other organizations. The candidate will ensure regulatory project milestones are met and will create and review documents for internal and external stakeholders, including the FAA. Close monitoring and tracking of assigned action items is expected to support company performance goals.

Primary responsibilities:

• Manage and execute the ODA Unit Member Interference processes in accordance with Boeing Procedures Manual, FAA regulations, and the Act’s requirements, including early dispute resolution and interference allegation investigations.

• Develop and monitor the implementation of  corrective actions to address substantiated interference and prevent recurrence
• Gather and analyze relevant data to perform root cause analysis and investigations.
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate data and processes to support compliance, safety, and interference resolution.

• Obtain a two-way radio and confined space flag before working in confined spaces, adhering to Communications System for Confined Hazardous Areas (CSCHA) rules and regulations. 

• Perform drilling, reaming, riveting, cold working, bonding, grounding, and sealing as necessary to complete work assignments. 

• Assemble and install aircraft plumbing and electrical systems within closed areas of the wing and horizontal stabilizer, ensuring compliance with specifications. 

• Perform pickup and rework, incorporating changes and conducting functional checks on work typically installed by lower classifications. 

• Perform continuity checks for electrical systems and hand form electrical wiring and soldering as necessary for work assignments.

• Perform final cleaning and closing of fuel cells, including vacuuming and installing fuel cell doors.
