Position: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Location: Clinton Township Shift: 2nd Shift – Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $17–$19/hr (DOE) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (overtime as needed) Key Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders.
Assemble components into complete seat cover sets according to specifications.
Support material flow through sewing and embroidery operations.
Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on machines and equipment.
Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to standards.
Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
Report nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO 14000).
Participate in problem-solving and investigative processes as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience in a cut-and-sew environment.
Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns.

Set up and operate Hydraulic/Mechanical Stamping presses for established work.
Select correct tooling for the given job task with set up documents or leaders assistance.
Load, install and correctly set-up dies as required.
Ability to prepare and run die forming operations using all features of the stamping presses/controllers.
Must have a full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished stampings.
Thorough understanding of blank development Client out.
Ability to work well with others.
Work with Material Handler to make sure material for each job is on schedule and in the proper location.
Skills: Have solid understanding of stamping presses.
Must possess the ability to operate cranes, tape measures and calipers, hand tools and torch.
