Gestational Carrier Requirements

To ensure a safe and successful journey for both carrier and baby, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Between 21–39 years old
  • U.S. citizen living in a surrogate-friendly state
  • Have delivered at least one child and are currently parenting
  • No more than two (2) C-sections
  • Not receiving government or public assistance (including Medicaid, WIC, SNAP/Food Stamps, or state-funded health insurance)
  • No history of pregnancy complications (including gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, or pre-term labor)
  • No history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or major depressive disorder

Job Details

  • Location: Cambridge, OH 43725 – Cambridge, Ohio; southeastern Ohio emergency medicine job with small-town living and access to outdoor recreation and historic sites.
  • Position: Locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician / ER Physician (nights & weekends)
  • Setting: Emergency Department (17 beds)
  • Annual Volume: 24,500–25,500 visits (average 55–60 patients daily)
  • Shifts: 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) and weekend coverage; 36 hours per week (three 12-hour night shifts); night shift emergency physician, weekend ER coverage required
  • Duration: 13-week locum tenens assignment with potential for ongoing availability (minimum 5+ shifts per month; 12+ months preferred)
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed (credentialing process approx. 60 days)
  • EMR: MediTech
  • Transfer Rate: 4.94% (to major regional centers)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABMS/AOA IM/FM only)
  • Active Ohio medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with proof of LOQ within 3 business days of job acceptance
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience (experience as an ER physician or emergency medicine clinician preferred)
  • Clean background and self-query NPDB at time of name clear
  • Malpractice coverage included in hourly rate
  • Availability for nights and weekends is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population as a night/weekend ER physician
  • Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
  • Stabilize and manage acute medical and trauma emergencies
  • Coordinate patient transfers to higher-level care facilities when appropriate
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the MediTech EMR system
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
